And then you remembered Mac's instructions from the first mission to fly 2 feet above the jungle, even if a general demands otherwise 😉

Such a fantastic mission @Reflected, thank you. It would have been great to know how long it would take in advance, this was a long one! Amazing direction and execution and such fun to fly. Thank you

Spoiler

Loved the 4 man fly by at the end, nice touch 🤗

Damn this is a tough one. How close do I need to get to those rocks? Crashed, have to do the whole dang thing over 😞

This is *not* an easy campaign. Or perhaps the machine is not easy. I had to fly nr3 like six times until I made it through in one piece!

Hi, first of all Nice, sorry... very very nice Campain, I love it!

Second... I have a question with this mission, I think, with the new engine of the Huey, it drinks a lot gas more... and in this mission, now I can't come back from Rota, I run out of fuel, and I try to refuel in HQ, the general's Ship, and even back in Anderson, before going rota, but I can't refuel, ¿We can refuel at this points, and I doing it wrong? or its impossible to refuel because before the engine changes we don't need it?

Thnxs

Well, now I gona try it for third time, taking a lot of care of the gas, but, the 2 first, I fall to the sea, without gas, when coming back from Rota.

Done... but there is something wrong with new engine... I refueled at Anderson, fly to Rota, rescue pilots and back... from 14 to 5 in fuel gauge indicator.... in 50 miles...

But your campain is good, its the new engine problem or I do somthing very very wrong.

I can refuel, now... with radio selector on Intercom and doors open (last time I forgot to change radio selector)

there is nothing to do, I can't load the pilots of the downed F4s before the van with the rebels arrives and they shoot me down. I don't understand where I have to position myself to load them and how much time I have, it's frustrating to start the mission all over again every time mission.

plz help

Just get close to the smoke and hover as low over the rocks as possible, but you gotta be stationery, so speed below 1 knots. You'll have plenty of time. The rebels never reached me during testing, I started to wonder if that trigger even works, so it's kinda good to hear it does.

When the smoke extinguish you can see the two pilots waiting  on the rocks. As Reflected said, you have to make a low static hover near them, then a countdown will start. I finished this mission yesterday and it works ok.

Excellent mission, a lot of fun, thank you.

That said, a big let down on the part of DCS because... wipers in the Huey don't work! My skid caught a rock I couldn't see in the rain.

I am not sure I want o fly for an hour or so just to try the pick up again.

In case you don't know. You don't have to land.

Great mission, I was on high alert flying way out to sea, twice. Unfortunately, my homing equipment was damaged on the way to pick up you know who, navigating there was a challenge and fun.

Hah - similar story here. I got absolutely lit up by Charlie when hovering over the rocks. Fortunately everyone survived except for all of my cockpit instruments. So I had to get back using only the standby compass. It had that WW2 English Channel feel, limping home across the water and feeling just joyous when spotting the shoreline ahead. There is a tailwind on the way back so that helped. Good stuff, Reflected.
