parxuk Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) As per the title, how do i disable/turn-off the HP Reverb G2 Passthrough?? Too many flights now I have been 1 hour plus into a mission only to somehow inadvertantly have the passthrough come up in the middle of the screen. I cant turn it off or see through it so i'm left with no option but to abort the game and my progress in the mission. How can I prevent if from happenng please, or if it pass through mode does come on, how do I turn it off? For info I do not use the hand controllers at all and dont want too, so hope I can do it without. Many thanks Edited August 16, 2022 by parxuk 1 Intel i7 8700K @ 5Ghz, Aorus Z370 Gaming5, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3000MHz, Nvidia 3080Ti FE, Samsung 970 NVME, Samsung 512GB EVO SSD x 2, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Rudder Pedals, HP Reverb G2, Windows 11 x64, DCS Modules = FC3, A10c Warthog, F14 Tomcat, F18 Hornet, F16 Viper, Persian Gulf, Syria.
Dodge Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 For me, I say 'torch off' and it turns it off Torch on / off (depending on whether you want it on or off. 1 Regards, Paul "Dodge / LondonLad / ChemoBrain" SYSTEM SPECS: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x , 64GB 3600MHz RAM, ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming, NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6, IIYAMA 34" Curved GB3466WQSU Monitor, VPC WarBRD-D Base, VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip, VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle, VPC Control Panel #2, VPC ACE Interceptor Pedals, TM MFD w/CUBESIM (x2), PointCTRL, HP Reverb G2 VR Headset | Back up: NVIDIA RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, Thrustmaster HOTAS Throttle, VKB Pedals (v4), Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset, & TrackIR Group: DCAF (Now Left, but a great group to be apart of - UK Based)
parxuk Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 Did do a google and tried that but it didnt do anything. I wondered if the fact i'm running voice attack has caused any issue? I dont even know what I did to turn it on? Very frustrating. I would just like to turn it off altogether. Burt Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Yeah I had this happen a few days ago also and actually didn’t know the G2 had this feature. I was told to say Flashlight on to enable it and Flashlight off to disable it. It’s actually pretty useful and I didn’t disable it in WMR speech recognition, I believe that’s where you can disable it but not sure what else it will disable either. But yeah I have no idea what turn it on that day because I did not say those a commands nor did I touch any control keys. here another link about it. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/306260-see-your-pit-in-vr-mod/ Edited August 16, 2022 by Burt 1 ALIENWARE R11 - I9 10900KF @ 5.1 GHz - M.2 NVMe 2TB - RTX3090 - XFURY 64GB -3400 MHz RAM Monitor AW3420DW @ 120Hz - Virpil CM3 Throttle - TM TPR Rudder pedals - Virpil CM2 w/TM Hornet Stick Center - Monstertech Deck Mounts RealSimulator FSSB-R3 Lightning Base w/ F16SRGRH SideStick - VR user / Varjo Aero - Big Thx to mbucchia Start Date April 2020
parxuk Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 Thanks Burt. Easy enough as it turned out to disable speech recognition in WMR, so have gone for that option. 1 Intel i7 8700K @ 5Ghz, Aorus Z370 Gaming5, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3000MHz, Nvidia 3080Ti FE, Samsung 970 NVME, Samsung 512GB EVO SSD x 2, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Rudder Pedals, HP Reverb G2, Windows 11 x64, DCS Modules = FC3, A10c Warthog, F14 Tomcat, F18 Hornet, F16 Viper, Persian Gulf, Syria.
edmuss Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 A long press on the windows button on the G2 controllers will bring up the wmr overlay, you can turn the torch on and off there if required. Just not using voice would be simpler 2 Ryzen7 7800X3D / RTX3080ti / 64GB DDR5 4800 / Varjo Aero / Leap Motion / Kinect Headtracking TM 28" Warthog Deltasim Hotas / DIY Pendular Rudders / DIY Cyclic Maglock Trimmer / DIY Abris / TM TX 599 evo wheel / TM T3PA pro / DIY 7+1+Sequential Shifter / DIY Handbrake / Cobra Clubman Seat Shoehorned into a 43" x 43" cupboard.

I use VoiceAttack * VAICOM and use the word 'torch off' whenever it has appeared for me. I'm assuming VA (and/or VAICOM) might therefore be picking that one up. I've not delved into it to actually confirm that for you. 1 Regards, Paul "Dodge / LondonLad / ChemoBrain" SYSTEM SPECS: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x , 64GB 3600MHz RAM, ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming, NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6, IIYAMA 34" Curved GB3466WQSU Monitor, VPC WarBRD-D Base, VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip, VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle, VPC Control Panel #2, VPC ACE Interceptor Pedals, TM MFD w/CUBESIM (x2), PointCTRL, HP Reverb G2 VR Headset | Back up: NVIDIA RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, Thrustmaster HOTAS Throttle, VKB Pedals (v4), Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset, & TrackIR Group: DCAF (Now Left, but a great group to be apart of - UK Based)
firefox121 Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Like I said in the other forum https://forum.dcs.world/topic/306260-see-your-pit-in-vr-mod/ , if you turn off the wmr focus window (by pressing WIN+Y on the keyboard) the voice control will not work . You wil notice that WMR focus window is not active because you will not see a blue line in the top of your monitor while WMR is running. Also you can instruct windows mixed reality not to hear your headset by disaling the voice recognition in the WMR control panel 2 Intel i9 10850k - MSI Tomahawk 490z - 64 GB DDR4 3000 - HP Reverb G2 - MSI optix Mag321curv 4k monitor - MSI RTX 3080ti - Winwing Orion Throttle base plus F18 stick
Eldur Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 That feature goes on/off on Win+Grip on the controllers by default, but I guess you aren't pressing that combo...
