Just add wind at the different heights ... you can use time acceleration to test the effect, with Ctrl+Z, shift Z to return time to normal.

of course not, just like in real life ... but the point is that the weather is different from departure, when you return to base, and the weather at the target will also vary according to your time on target.

When it IS noticeable without time acceleration, you probably don’t want to take off. 😁

Good point. But the movement of low cloud layers is visible IRL too, even when there is no storm.

Edit: it might help to be standing still on the ground.
