Not sure what I'm doing wrong. SP mission gunner loaded but interface panel will not show with LShift-H or anyother binding. I can go to the seat via 3 key but I cant get the panel up. Works with MI-8 not the 24. Any suggestions?

i dont see it show up either. It used to not show up in MP but now never shows up. I have key binds so assume they did the trick when i hit them.

Left shift H works but the keybind for my stick does not. I remapped too. i can't show a track of the stick not working.

Ahh. once I hit the keybind left shift-H it works and then the keybind on my stick will turn off an on

I tried, but I cannot replicate your issue. I connected to a server, jumped into a hot Mi-24, then called the menu using a joystick button: it worked right away.

I can verify. 

Binding a joystick to gunners panel does not work (Ralt Rshift K).

However, binding a joystick to AI panel to a joystick does (Lshift H).

The workaround is use AI panel instead apparently.

On my end, in current OB:

  • As I said before, no issue with the AI panel: LShift + H works, and so does the joystick binding.
  • However, when the gunner panel is enabled (using keyboard or joystick):
    • The gunner panel does not appear (I've never seen it, by the way - how does it look like?).
    • It also prevents the AI panel from appearing.
  • Once the AI panel has been displayed once, the gunner panel bindings work (and they show... the AI panel).

Issue reproduced with both Mi-24 and Mi-8. Reported. 👍

 

EDIT: is that the Gunner panel, here?

I'm away and might be eating a sock since I can't get in to verify right now, but IIRC, (ralt rshift K) on the keyboard showed the AI panel even though that binding is labeled gunner panel, but didn't work when using the joystick key instead. 

Can't find any reason for it. Both the default.lua files for keyboard and joystick have identical entries. No code mistakes that I can find so I don't understand how interference is happening.

Devs have confirmed the "Show Gunners Panel" command was legacy. It will be removed and the problem described in OP will be fixed for good.

(for both Mi-24 and Mi-8 by the way)

I´m pretty sure this is caused by a multi-monitor-setup. I have the same issue and get it fixed by changing the corresponding lua file - over and over again after every update. Current workaround:


When will DCS be able to place ALL those additional windows on the screen where the Cockpit is rendered out of the box? 😞

Hope that they also fix the problem, that i told free fire and long bursts and after a while he turns himself to hold fire (or equal)

Hi,

i will check this and one much bigger issue on an other map, before i provide a track.

Usually for smal trainings with several kind of aircraft and helicopters, we use a nevada map, made by a frind of mine for aucher online flying meetings.

1. with the MI-24P i engaged the mentioned problem with the doorgunner at this map

2. Using A/A missles infro red, the yellow light goes on reght beside the HUD and shows me that the seeker is rdy. some minutes later, the light is off and the mussles are no longer useable.

3. After a stable flight to the target area, i can hit some targets with f.e. A/G missles, but after a certain time my Heli flips over to the right side (hard reight roll) and it leads to a crash.

"random failures" is disabled in my own settings and in the map itself,

Had this now 3 times at almost the same area and time. Yaw AP is off, all in all with deactivated yaw AP, this Heli is much more confortable to fly.

 

I will try an instant action map, comming with the Hind Module and if i engage one or all of these problems again, i will provide a track.

 

I tried to observe my own saved track, but the funny thing is, heli was not flying in this replay where i was flying, also not missles launches are on the track, but i released 4 into 4 diff targets
