HiJack Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Try DDU first. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
SkateZilla Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Stress test the GPU, Looks like it's unstable and the GPU is crashing the driver. Run Cinebench while running GPU Test to stress both at the same time. Seems like a hardware issue toggling clocks from 2D Idle to 3D Edited November 29, 2022 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
sew333 Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) if that was hardware issue it will happen most everytime, not one of 50 tries. And on first launch after few hours i launch Watch Dogs LEGION or Metro and it can crash driver, on loading Edited November 29, 2022 by sew333

And on first launch after few hours i launch Watch Dogs LEGION or Metro and it can crash driver, on loading I've repaired systems that have had GPUs with Bad firmware or VRM that do everything you're experiencing, hardware that's defective does not cause problems most of the time, when it's still new silicon or capacitors, it will fail once every 50-100+ cycles, as it ages and/or degrades it will start to fail more often. The Possible problems are: -Driver (Missing or Corrupt Drivers)(Also it does say in the event viewer something is missing) -Hardware Defective VRM or FIRMWARE. (if the VRM has a Bad phase, it will crash the GPU and cause windows to recover the driver). -Power Supply (12VHPWR RAIL Switching/Output Voltage Variances). -Bad HDMI/DP Cable (Switching display modes can crash drivers if the Cable is bad and doesnt hand shake properly with the GPU) Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
sew333 Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) so rma but what if they dont reproduce issue ? ( cause it happens so rarely ) what something is very wrong? it can happen only with loading 2 games ( watch dogs L and Metro Exodus EE ). In other games loading is fine and never crash. If this helps, you may suffering from a Incompatibility between your Motherboard and your 4090. Try the latest BIOS for your Motherboard. If not: I don't know. But I have seen you posted this Message on quite a few Forums (EVGA, Guru3D,...) someone will come up with an idea. /edit: another thing you could try: go into the windows power plan advanced section search for the PCIe Link Power State and set it to "off". I've seen one guy that had luck with this setting. /edit2: on another forum some users had luck by using driver version 526.86 instead of 526.89 Edited November 30, 2022 by FR4GGL3 14700K | MSI Z690 Carbon | Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC | 64GB DDR5 6000 G.Skill Ripjaws S5 | Asus Essence STX 2 on a Violectric V90 Headphone amp and Fostex TH600 Headphones | LG 42 C227LA & Samsung C32HG70 | TrackIR 5 | Moza AB9 and Virpil Constellation Alpha Grip | Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle | VKB T-Rudder Pedals MK IV I only fool around the F-14 - and still having a hard time on it as there is so much to learn and so little time and talent.
