Many users confuse access to the ED Forums with access  to the ED Store ... they are separate accounts. Maybe the user believes he has access because he can enter the Forum. If the game says invalid password, then its invalid password, there is no other cause (unless his PC has a wrong date/time of day, as a wrong one can impact the authentication).

yep  just thought of  that  after  i had  posted 🙂   thats  why i  use  the  same  password  and  user  log in  in  both, best bet  for the op  is  to submit  a  support  ticket  in

I don’t… because Forums passwords are more likely to be compromised (as they use widely available software like Invision, instead of the custom software of the e-shop), so I feel safer having separate passwords.

Thank you all for your help. I have put in a ticket and have had both passwords reset. I can now log in to DCS.
I've changed the Saved Games caprte and reinstalled the modules, I still have to put the inputs and get kneeboards, simple things like that (I hope).

Good news! Since you copied the CONFIG folder, you can import those controls for each AC OR copy each AC folder over to new CONFIG\INPUT folder.

your  imput  saved   configs  etc  for  aircraft  are  in  your  config  folder,  and  the  missing  folders  your  referring  to  eg  knee  board etc  is  that  you have  to  make  those  folders  your  self  and  put  them in manually or  when you install  a  addon  and  it  needs  that folder  it  will  than  put  that folder  in there  for  you

It looks normal to me .. several folders are created as needed .. for example if you press, when in DCS, the Print screen key, you will generate a screen caprure and then the "ScreenShots" folder will be created by DCS ... if you export the key bindings of a Module to HTML format, the "InputLayoutsTxt" folder will be created, and so on.
