Is IFF enabled on my warthog?  I can't find any documentation for it.  If so, is there a tutorial for how to set it up during startup?

No,there is no function implemented AFAIK,u can just leave it there.  The IFF panel itself is fully functional,as well as some settings in the IFFCC,but only as eye candy. You can follow the real checklist and set it up,but it won't affect whether other players can IFF u or not.

The only significance of the IFF panel is that SRS can capture your transponder state and send it to someone using LotATC (both are 3rd party mods).  Otherwise, it does bupkis--you can do nothing with it and other friendly aircraft will still detect you as a friendly

Okay.  Thank you.  Are there future plans for ED to implement this?

No idea.  I'd speculate the answer is no, since no ED module has any working IFF as far as I know

Also in the real world checklists that panel is switched to standbye and ignored because all the actual functionality is on the comm page.

During my trainings and sorties I configure IFF, even though parts are not simulated.

Yes and no.. DCS does not have squaking implemented on specific Transponder codes.

That said, an AI dumbed down version does exist.  In the IFFCC menu under 'Display Modes' there is a sub-menu for IFF.  Change Mode 1 or 4 from N to Y for yes.  When AI IFF's you, you will get an alert that you can clear via ENT key on the UFC.
