I just set it up and did a first testflight with the Apache. wooooh…is that cool! A new immersive level! Seems to work great with SSA. Will also do some fine tuning the following days! Good to hear enjoy bet you wont be able to fly without it now. It will be interesting to see if they actually develop their own software for DCS would be great to compare SSA with it. randomguylurking Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 (edited) Holy crap.. Mine came today and I jumped in for a few missions after work. It's AMAZING. Whole new level of immersion. I love how you can feel the planes aerodynamics, slip, etc. I only had it on 50%. Anyone have some good tuning profiles for the F/A-18 Hornet? It's working with Sim Shaker Aviation, it detected it right away when you select the model as Force Feel. It will show green on status if it detects almost right away. I had a conflict w/ Sim Racing Studio initially but figured it out and disabled sound card in SRS. Edited May 11, 2023 by randomguylurking 1
Sile Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 I'm tempted to buy it. Does it work with that other F-16 Simulation - when using Simshaker Wings and not "... Aviator" software?

rapid Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Apologies for the delay but my stupid Norton's is not allowing the full installation of the application. Even if I disable detections it still blocks part of the installation I will give it another try later some time. Now the HF8 options for DCS only came up once and I was able to have a quick peak but there seems to be only limited options in there I think around 6 not as much as SSA has. I have not been able to get the options in the HF8 to appear again this maybe due to the failed installation. Only other observation was that the motors seems to have a more powerful feel to them when you instigate the test option they feel more powerful than when using the SSA and of course you get access to the full 8 motors with HF8 than the 6 with SSA. Will feed back when i give it another try. Yeah, support for the 8 motors I was hoping for. Sadly it‘s common way for years in the flight summing business that helicopters don‘t get the same attention or at least later than the fixed winged. But I hope NLR is further developing it’s software for helos as well. 1 DCS Version: 2.9.15.9408 Modules: UH-1H - SA342 - KA-50 BS3 - MI-24P - MI-8MTV2 - AH-64D - CH-47F - OH-58D - UH-60L(Mod, n.i.) - OH-6A(Mod, n.i.) - A-10CII - F-16C - F/A-18C - AJS37 - F-14 - MiG-21bis - JF-17 - Mirage F1 - FC2024 -Combined Arms - Supercarrier - NTTR - Normandy2.0 - Channel - Persian Gulf - Syria - SA - Sinai - Afghanistan - Kola - Iraq - Cold War Germany — Waiting for: BO-105 - AH-1G/F(Mod) DCS-Client: 9800X3D, 64GB 6200, RTX3090, 1TB M2 NVMe(win10), 4TB M2 NVMe(DCS), VR VivePro2, PointCTRL, VaicomPro, Wacom Intuos S with VRK v2Beta DCS-DServer: 11600KF, 64GB 3600, GTX1080, 1TB M2 NVMe(win10), 2TB M2 NVMe(DCSDServer), DCS Olympus Simpit: NLR Flightsim Pro Cyclic: TM Warthog Grip with 30cm Extension + VPforce Rhino FFB FW Stick: TM Warthog Grip and Base, Throttle: TM Warthog Pedals: Komodo Sim. with Dampers Collective: VPC Rotorplus+AH-64D Grip Other: NLR HF8, Buttkicker (3*MiniConcert), TotalControls AH64D MPD‘s and EUFD, Alain Dufour’s AH-64 TEDAC, TM MFD, Streamdecks (1*32,3*15,1*6), VPC CP#1

PedroDCS Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 hello everyone. I just tried the HF8: just connect the product and install SSA (without installing the original software) and it's fantastic!!. the HF8 seemed very comfortable to me; I have a cockpit with a real car seat (an old BMW). the vibrations are felt a lot: the landing gear, the hook, the afterburner… EVERYTHING!! It has surprised me a lot. the sensations it gives are noticeable that they have work behind them. with the Apache I feel the vibrate inside the cabin. I am very happy with the purchase. It is true that it requires repositioning the seat position. 2
rapid Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Yup works fine with SSA only issue that it only uses 6 of the 8 motors as SSA wasn't made for it. HF8 have their own software that now works with the seat, only Issus with this is that you have very limited options in what you can address the 8 motors to. SSA offers way more options than the HF8 software. 1 Asus ROG Crosshair Hero VIII , Ryzen 3900X, Nzxt Kraken Z73, Vengence RBG Pro DDR4 3600mhz 32 GB, 2x Corsair MP 600 pcie4 M.2 2 TB , 2x Samsung Qvo SSD 2x TB, RTX 3090 FE, EVGA PSU 800watt, Steelseries Apex Pro. petsild Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Hi, I have flown the HF8 for several hours of flight and a lot of car races. Unfortunately, I have to state that the original sw is completely unusable. For planes and helicopters excellent SSA and for cars I recommend SimHub, otherwise the pad is useless. void68 Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 You must not install (or if already done so, then deinstall) the NLR software if you choose to play with SSA! While SSA got 20 data rows with different intensity offsets (engine rumbles less when RPM are slow!) I wonder where I can adjust which motors should be enabled. In NLR software I could adjust what motor, but not its intensity. In SSA I can adjust the intensities but not the individual motors. Or am I missing somthing?
hazzer Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 I wonder if it is possible to get the SSA working all 8 motors on the hf8 instead of 6. Any ideas? RTX 2080ti, I7 9700k, 32gb ram, SSD, Samsung Odyssey VR, MSFFB2, T-50 Throttle, Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals

MIghtymoo Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 (edited) Got the pad yesterday. Used Simshaker for Aviators. After some tweaking, I really liked the haptic feedback through the seat (even if the top two motors are inactive with SSA). Favorite as of now are the effects when firing the gun (for planes where the vibration is continous as long you hold down the trigger and have ammo ), dropping ordonance and the effects when airbrakes/gear is out. Also some vibration when running AB is useful. In my setup (office chair) the pad is fairly comfortable (much better than I feared, based on some reviews). Biggest downer was that the gun vibrates only for a short time on the F-5E and A-10C II (!!!), even if the trigger is held. Works great in the F-16 and F-15E. Only four modules tested so far. This pad is a keeper. Edited January 10, 2024 by MIghtymoo 2 Intel i9 13900K | RTX4090 | 64 Gb DDR4 3600 CL18 | 2Tb PCIe4.0 | Varjo Aero | Pico 4 on WIFI6e | Virtual Desktop running VDXR
