Got mine today…two days earlier as expected.

I just set it up and did a first testflight with the Apache.

wooooh…is that cool! A new immersive level!😍

Seems to work great with SSA. Will also do some fine tuning the following days!

Good to hear enjoy bet you wont be able to fly without it now. It will be interesting to see if they  actually develop their own software for DCS  would be great to compare SSA with it.

Mine came yesterday, works perfectly with SSA. It's good to have the jetseat type of vibration again. I do have some transducers as well but the seat adds the subtle vibration that make it special.

Does it work correctly with SSA, so the vibrations are sent to the correct motors as with the jet seat?

Holy crap.. Mine came today and I jumped in for a few missions after work.  It's AMAZING.  Whole new level of immersion.  I love how you can feel the planes aerodynamics, slip, etc.  I only had it on 50%.  Anyone have some good tuning profiles for the F/A-18 Hornet?

It's working with Sim Shaker Aviation, it detected it right away when you select the model as Force Feel.  It will show green on status if it detects almost right away.  I had a conflict w/ Sim Racing Studio initially but figured it out and disabled sound card in SRS.

I'm tempted to buy it. Does it work with that other F-16 Simulation - when using Simshaker Wings and not "... Aviator" software?

True, but at the moment simshaker has much more options and inputs than HFS! Hope they implement more things than the ones implemented now.

Apologies for the delay but my stupid Norton's is not allowing the full installation of the application.

Even if I disable detections it still blocks part of the installation I will give it another try later some time.

Now the HF8 options for DCS only came up once and I was able to have a quick peak but there seems to be only limited options in there I think around 6  not as much as SSA has.

I have not been able to get the options in the HF8 to appear again this maybe due to the failed installation.

Only other observation was that the motors seems to have a more powerful feel to them when you instigate  the test option they feel more powerful than when using the SSA and of

course you get access to the full 8 motors with HF8 than the 6 with SSA.

Will feed back when i give it another try.

Yeah, support for the 8 motors I was hoping for.

Sadly it‘s common way for years in the flight summing business that helicopters don‘t get the same attention or at least later than the fixed winged. But I hope NLR is further developing it’s software for helos as well.

From what I remember seeing all Plane related. Some will of the settings may work indirectly for Helicopters but hopefully as previously mentioned  this is still Beta so it may still be added later on.

hello everyone. I just tried the HF8: just connect the product and install SSA (without installing the original software) and it's fantastic!!. the HF8 seemed very comfortable to me; I have a cockpit with a real car seat (an old BMW). the vibrations are felt a lot: the landing gear, the hook, the afterburner… EVERYTHING!! It has surprised me a lot. the sensations it gives are noticeable that they have work behind them. with the Apache I feel the vibrate inside the cabin. I am very happy with the purchase. It is true that it requires repositioning the seat position.

Yup works fine with SSA only issue that it only uses 6 of the 8 motors as SSA wasn't made for it.

HF8 have their own software that now works with  the seat, only Issus with this is that you have very limited options in what you can address the 8 motors to.

SSA offers way more options than the  HF8 software.

Hi,

I have flown the HF8 for several hours of flight and a lot of car races.

Unfortunately, I have to state that the original sw is completely unusable.

For planes and helicopters excellent SSA and for cars I recommend SimHub, otherwise the pad is useless.

You must not install (or if already done so, then deinstall) the NLR software if you choose to play with SSA! While SSA got 20 data rows with different intensity offsets (engine rumbles less when RPM are slow!) I wonder where I can adjust which motors should be enabled. In NLR software I could adjust what motor, but not its intensity. In SSA I can adjust the intensities but not the individual motors. Or am I missing somthing?

I wonder if it is possible to get the SSA working all 8 motors on the hf8 instead of 6. Any ideas?

With SSA you can run 6 motors. The NLR software uses the 8 motors of the HF8.

I run it with SSA. I like the helicopter specific effects and can run it simultanously with buttkicker bassshakers.

Yeah i'm aware it runs with 6, hence me asking if there is anyone who could magic into running with 8!

Got the pad yesterday.

Used Simshaker for Aviators.

After some tweaking, I really liked the haptic feedback through the seat (even if the top two motors are inactive with SSA).

Favorite as of now are the effects when firing the gun (for planes where the vibration is continous as long you hold down the trigger and have ammo 🙂), dropping ordonance and the effects when airbrakes/gear is out. Also some vibration when running AB is useful.

In my setup (office chair) the pad is fairly comfortable (much better than I feared, based on some reviews).

Biggest downer was that the gun vibrates only for a short time on the F-5E and A-10C II (!!!), even if the trigger is held. Works great in the F-16 and F-15E. Only four modules tested so far.

This pad is a keeper.
