  1. I ordered on day 1 of presale - no shirt received, yet. (Germany) Maybe because I ordered the tomcat shirt. All I see is phantom shirts being shipped and posted in social media. Funny thing is two squadron mates received an additional phantom shirt.
  2. The bug is there since end of december after a SteamVR stable update. (Bug has been reported in the beta, but no one cared.) It affects DCS even if the Varjo OpenXR is used. (SteamVR components are used for tracking) - It throttles DCS to 10 fps. Only people with Steam DCS / or Steam MSFS are affected for some reason. I use DCS standalone and don't have the problem. A friend experienced it when setting up his new aero. He switched to DCS standalone and had no issues any more. A workaround is disabling OpenVR in Varjo Base. Another workaround is using an older SteamVR Version, e.g. the 1.27.5 beta. I'm losing hope this will geht fixed: https://steamcommunity.com/app/250820/discussions/3/4036978698787139585/ It feels like the Aero is already dying.
  3. You can have different presets and startup options with DCS Updater - someone already suggested that tool above. You can switch presets for 2D and for VR and have the launch options for 2D / VR in one handy tool. Ingame presets in the graphics options menu are also a way to fast switch 2D / VR graphics settings. (A disadvantage of the ingame presets in the graphics option screen might be, that some of them restart DCS...or is it only the "Fullscreen" option, not sure)
  4. That's strange. It doesn't even show in safe mode, right? What OpenXR runtime do you use?
  5. Hi, currently there is a SteamVR Bug that throttles DCS to 10 fps for Aero Users. The bug also affects you, if you are using the VarjoOpenXR Runtime. (SteamVR is used for tracking but due to the bug it loads additional stuff that throttles Varjo) Workaround is to disable OpenVR in Varjo Base. (your last picture "Compatibility") I see you are using DCS steam Edition. The bug doesn't affect DCS standalone users (yet?) for some reason. (Workaround 2 = switch to standalone ) It would be helpful to post here to make the issue more prominent: https://steamcommunity.com/app/250820/discussions/3/4036978698787139585/?ctp=2
  6. @SFJackBauer What's wrong with you, people are trying to help you. My god then do the reboot before starting DCS. Could be worse. Don't see why this should be the fault of DCS anyway.
  7. You don‘t see a reduced quality, because it‘s reduced where you don‘t look. You can even improve the clarity by supersampling only the eyetracked focus region a bit. Only on videos the reduced resolution of the downsampled aeras is visible. For Aero I would recommend Varjo-Foveated (VFR) instead of Quad-Views-Foveated (QVF). Different settings and no OXR Toolkit possible with VFR, though.
  8. 1900 € (excl. tax?) for the base model without a headstrap… So I‘m approaching 3000 € if I need eyetracking and want to be able to wear it? Uhhh.. I was hoping for <2.000 € incl. tax for a model with eye tracking (and headstrap!!). Edit: Oh and no inside out tracking so 1-2 tracking base stations (approx. 150 € each) needed.
  9. If you are affected you might try to disable "OpenVR" in Varjo Base. It helped someone on the Varjo Discord getting back to 90 fps. Maybe there is some sort of conflict after the SteamVR update.
  10. edit: oh you are the guy for whom it still works and you are on standalone dcs. So the standalone / Steam theory still stands. Yes. Only happens with DCS for all the other cases.
  11. oh no we are all doomed not going to start steam to prevent the bad steamvr update
  12. some guys reported this on the varjo discord. (MT client in all cases) There was a steamvr beta update (stable update possibly yesterday) that seemed to introduce the problem. One user opted out of steamvr beta and the problem was gone. Probably the bug is now in stable steamVR so maybe opting out is not possible any more. This all happens with Varjo OpenXR being the active runtime. (steamvr only used for tracking) And all cases use the Steam Version of DCS. Interesting: A friend of mine got rid of it by switching from steamDCS to DCS standalone. edit: oh and here is a bug report. Mabe post there as well: https://steamcommunity.com/app/250820/discussions/3/4036978698787139585/
  13. See his post and mine three posts above. He still sees them but probably only on the sinai map. It reportedly had flickering issues before the "global flickering" got patched into the game. Sinai probably still has these issues but they were covered up by the global flickering. Now the issues show again. Sinai Map flickering is reported in the corresponded forum/thread and can be mitigated or evaded by disabling cockpit mirrors.
  14. Sinai reportedly had flickering issues before the global flickering got patched into the game. It probably still has these issues but they were covered up by the global flickering. Do you still get flickering on all maps? And can you try to disable the cockpit mirrors, because that helped some with the "sinai flickering" Edit: Oh and one of numerous posts showing the flicker on sinai, which by the way seems to affect part of the screen only .
  15. Is it fixed with todays patch? (can't check currently)
  16. Yes, exactly. Squadron mate honestly wondered if we hat a thunderstorm on the map.
  17. Hi, my feedback: I experienced lags and desyncs since the end of october update in DCS MT multiplayer. After many evenings of checking and testing on my end i stumbled over a post of a reddit user who claimed his squadrons problems were gone after they disabled voice chat on their servers. So our server admin disabled voice on our servers on my request and my lag spikes are gone. (I had Voice disabled on my side all the time). Maybe voice contributes to the multiplayer problems with lags many have discribed in the mp bug section. In retrospect it all would make sense. End of Oktober ED introduced the updated voice chat and my problems began. Thanks.
  18. Seems like I found the cause for my lag spikes / freezes. I get them when voice is enabled on our servers. As soon as we disabled voice, the stutters/lags/freezes were gone. And now in retrospect it would all make sense. Problems started when the voice chat update patch dropped end of october. Will verify tomorrow in our squadron mission. Edit: Verified. lags are gone.
  19. Seeing this as well. First i thought it might be short lags when flying online, because it felt like these. Then i saw this post. It's worse on the Airfield with buddies surrounding you. And looking around. Get's better in the air and further away from other planes. Maybe there is some connection to this thread:
  20. Observed this yesterday as well. First it takes much longer than before (last patch) to get the role selection loaded, then it took about 20s till the F-15E Cockpit was fully loaded.
  21. Hm. Since there were two patches ( one mentioning MP Netprotocol changes ) after closing the thread and it's status still beeing "reported", i wonder if this is supposed to be fixed now?
