When the Normandy 2.0 map is released, will it use the new lighting standards that ED is testing/using on the Persian Gulf?

Modules - Damn near all of them (no Christian Eagle or Yak)

System - Ryzen 9 7900X, 64Gig DDR5 RAM, RTX-4090, 3 32" monitors @1440, default settings of High (plus some)

Friendly bump as I've seen new screens of Normandy 2.0, but still no response to a simple question.

IIRC the only map using that right now is PG at night, not sure this one could since it's coming from Normandy 1 and anyhow I believe any WWII map features night lighting for obvious reasons.

The Falklands/SA map uses it as well.

I can't see the picture you have apparently attached. Will this new map have night portable (kerosene) lighting. I ask because some of the mods coming out, in time, such as the Lancaster were night bombers in the main. It would be a great resourcse if possible.

Good evening 🌆
We are very pleased to announce that the Normandy 2 map will support the new night lighting.
The interest of DCS users in this issue is high and today we are publishing images that illustrate the progress of work in this direction, and we hope that this will add a lot of joyful emotions to all users of the Normandy map.

Any idea about kero lamps?

N2.0 does look gorgeous but I'm wondering whether those night shots properly illustrate a world at war with strict blackouts, or not..?

Cars had headlight covers, street lights were turned off, and so on.

That is not what I see on those shots, no matter how gorgeous they might be 😕

They put those in there because people whined so much about Normandy map not having night lights because it's historical on wartime… 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've said many times, but I don't envy DCS developers having to put up whit this kind of BS all the time WHATSOEVER 😅 .

P.S. : I'm sure there will be some kind of workaround for that in ME with whatever option they could come up with.

Speaking of lighting, it would be neat to see the lights go black out as you move into the area..
