As mentioned in the newsletter, it will have the more traditional ship weaponry (gun, CIWS, SAM launcher, FCRs) available at release since DCS currently doesn't really support ASW. But I believe in solid maintaining and updating of assets, to benefit from added functionality in the core platform. I try to maintain the assets in the mod packs so they keep working with new DCS updates. I also add new assets like the 15 new Cold War assets added to the Russian assets mod pack. With every update of the mod packs I remove any DCS core duplicate asset though. And all the assets in the mod packs and DCS core have unique names, so they won't conflict.
