rapid Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 (edited) Hi Guys, I am just trying to get my head around this so bare with me. Which product gives you the best results Buttkicker or Simshaker? Also I see people are using the Buttkicker with the Simshaker software is this the way to go other than the Buttkicker software? Is Buttkicker supported by DCS? Any advise will be very useful Edited February 19, 2023 by rapid 1 Asus ROG Crosshair Hero VIII , Ryzen 3900X, Nzxt Kraken Z73, Vengence RBG Pro DDR4 3600mhz 32 GB, 2x Corsair MP 600 pcie4 M.2 2 TB , 2x Samsung Qvo SSD 2x TB, RTX 3090 FE, EVGA PSU 800watt, Steelseries Apex Pro. Mr_sukebe Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 As I understand it, the Simshaker software can run a buttkicker. As for the differences, Buttkickers can be had in different sizes, which would imply that they can have a greater “maximum” level of shake. The jetseat uses 8 separate transducers, shaking 6 different zones. So whilst a Jetseat might have less outright shake capability, it can apply it in specific areas, eg to simulate bank, it applies it to only one side. I have a jetseat and never think that it could really do with more shaking capacity. I love how immersive the feel is that it applies. 1 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Ala12Rv-Tundra Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 If by "simshaker" you mean a jetseat with 8 vibrators, yes, that´s better than a single unit buttkicker. The ability to notice side effects like huey door gunners, cannon position, from what wing drops a bomb and such is a great tool to have on DCS. Also bear in mind both systems can be add up, taking full advantage of their strengths. Buttkicker is great for effects like touchdown, burner, engine... 1 i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | Orion 2 throttle base w/ Viper & Hornet grips| VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 2x TM MFDs & 1x WW DDI | 2x Bass shakers | SIMple SIMpit chair | WW TakeOff panel | Andre JetSeat | WW Hornet UFC | WW Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle - Phantom - Mirage F1 - Afghanistan - Irak
rapid Posted February 19, 2023 Author Posted February 19, 2023 Very interested in getting either at some point. Buttshaker been the cheaper option. Isn't there some embargo of the Simshaker site? rapid Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 Could anyone expand on why the U-Shaker6 has a power amp while the Simshaker doe not require one to drive the Transducers? Mr_sukebe Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 The jetseat is a powered unit, that connects to both a standalone PSU and via USB to your PC for control by the Simshaker App. The transducers within a jetseat basically include all that's needed, so the equivalent of amplifiers. 1 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

kkernan Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 @rapid Curious if you made a decision here, what it was, and how you feel about it.

Hi Sorry about the late reply. I went with the HF8 in the end only because most people here use the Jet Pad and seem happy with it. The HF8 is cheaper with less cables and seems to work ok we just don't get full use of the 8 motors when we use SSA, we only get the use of 6 motors but you can access all 8 motors by using the HF8 software albeit with less tweaking options in their software. The U-Shaker6 would be the more premium option as the transducers react quicker than waiting for the motors to spin up like in the HF8 but after a while you don't notice it. Hope this helps you. void68 Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 I own a HF8 with SSA, quite good and I can recommend it. However I would like to add the Buttkicker Gamer Pro to feel something really moving my chair. Anyone installed both? My question is if this is possible and don't conflict with each other. I am a bit cautious because I don't know if two or more systems can parallel readout DCS ports as I got a problem with my feedback in the OrionII base died since I installed the HF8 (what can be a coincidence).
hannibal Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 I use simshaker aviators (free) in conjunction with simshaker sound module (paid) to push audio to my bass shakers. I can not sim without these find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
