Uboats even stated it wasn't possible to do the simultaneous version of the J-8 that was developed from the J-8PP, even though they looked into it. 

J-8 is a different story since there are still many of them in service.

Q-5 on the other hand is no longer in service.  Before the introduction of the JF-17 module, Deka even stated in an interview that they are interested to make J-8IIPP and Q-5. See the video below at 12:30.

And guess what happened, J-8IIPP was selected as the second module. So it is only logical to assume that Q-5 will be the next.

 

If they are going to make the L variant or even the later ones of Q-5, I swear to god that I will never ever be mean to anybody ever again.............................................................................unless they REALLY deserve it.

Yeah that would be perfect, the J-8F and JH-7 were personally at the top of my list since I thought the J-10 to be impossible. Now that it seems those are very unlikely too, a Q-5 would definitely be the best-case scenario, especially if it is a modern variant.

Imagine if we got all the CJ-6 variants including the B, with guns, bombs, rockets and fuel tanks.

And then they added the same load out for the DCS Yak-52.

And then they added the T-28 Trojan to DCS as well.

There could be some interesting CAS, Border Patrol, or duels between these trainers, which who knows, may have happened historically.

There’s something about small planes.

Costs as much as a car.  Weights as much as a car.  Fits tight like a glove.

And add some guns and bombs on top.

Love the jets.  But also love the warbirds too.

Thread bump!

I just joined the list of CJ owners here in the states.  Great airplane!  I agree w/wanting one for DCS.
