this is a feature of the real DTC so one would hope we get it in dcs

Can't we create lines manually?  get 2 points coordinates on F10 map make them STPT let say 15 and 16, they will make a line on HDS, that's how you can mark borders or no fly zones etc...

You can, but only in steerpoints 1-24, meaning that manually created lines plus your entire flight plan has to be (24 - n) steerpoints in total, where n is the total amount of areas you want to mark, as you need to leave an empty steerpoint inbetween each area unless you want everything to be connected. Needless to say, this is quite limiting.
