Hi Guys,

I am spoilt for choice between the Simshaker Jet seat and the HF8 HAPTIC.

From what I have read so far is that the HF8 has a slight  delay in feed back response.

Which one would you choose and Why.

Im guessing if you are based on the USA or outside Europe, HF8 seat should be easier to buy with the ongoin Rus-Ukr situation.
From what I read, both can work with SSA software, so no issues there.

No idea about the delay, HF8 is a recent device meanwhile Jetseat has been out for several years already.
You could also check your seat measurements in order to check which one of the could fit it better.

My advice would be don´t waste much time choosing, both seem great products. I own a Jetseat and don´t fly without it. So whatever you choose, go ahead and keep enjoying the sim 🙂

Appreciate your valued input.

So still a toss up between the HF8 and the U shaker6

Yes that's what I have been reading but I guess price is the key here why people chose the HF8 over the U Shaker6.

UShake6 is best. But also more expensive.

https://www.simracingstudio.com/product-page/srs-ushake6-includes-srs-license-for-bass-shaker

It uses transducers, which have no delay and better feedback. The other two use a rumble technique similar to joypads.

Have you actually used it and if so, is it making use of all of the telemetry in DCS and IL2?  It seems more race sim focused based on the software options for the respective genres, so was curious.

I havent. I just seen this video.

After seeing this video, I am making my own version using external sound cards and transducers. It will be half the price of the UShake6, but it is not a plug and play solution.

This video compares the UShake6 to the HF8. Basically says that it cant compare to a transducer system.

I dont think any of them are ideal for flying yet. They definitely dont have the options available for racing sims. I will be using FlyPT Mover to control my transducers, and 80% of the options are for various car effects. But people say they still add to the immersion when flying.

Anyway it´s great this niche market is blooming with options, it´s all good for customers.

Seen those two reviews. They seem to be two good products  I did not note what the reviewer said  "This video compares the UShake6 to the HF8. Basically says that it cant compare to a transducer system"

He said that the Transducers  produce a more immediate effect rather than a delayed effect like the HF8 which uses spinning motors.

Still undecided over 6 transducers or 8 motors. Pricing  would point to the HF8 been the cheaper option.

Yes I think you are right, and it uses SimShaker, correct?

Yes I have read that people have been using SS without issues.

I've had for NLR HF8 for about a week and am using it with SimShakerAviator.    However, I am occasionally receiving the error shown below.  When it happens, the seat stops working until I acknowledge the error and then it resumes working.

Anyone else having this problem?

Not had any errors yet. Try another USB port maybe a USB 2.0 and not USB 3.0

I have the Jet Seat with SS for Aviators software and I've had intermittent problems with it. Don't get me wrong, when it works it works great, and most of the problems I've had were probably user induced...Any issues I've had I've reached out to Andre and he's responded within 12 or so hours and he has been nothing but helpful. Right now for some reason however, I have Jet Seat that's powered and working but it isn't working with DCS. So if anyone is reading this who might be willing to help, I'd appreciate it. I've grown so accustomed to flying with the Jet Seat and added immersion has made me a better sim-pilot. I can't figure out what's wrong...

Hi, have you succeeded in that? Have you documented it somewhere? Could you kindly point me in a right direction (I intend to do the same, but have no idea where to begin..)
