Not responding after recent mt update

For some reason after the most recent mt. update when I load into a mission, single or multiplayer everything works fine until I hit “fly” to begin the mission and then dcs stops responding. I didn’t have this issue when i tried the new update the first time but now I can’t get it to work. I already tried uninstalling twice.

You will get the question to post (or better, attach them) your DCS log (in Saved Games folder) and DXdiag...

Thanks. In your first file, we can see DCS was compiling shaders. This can take some time. Here's the end of the log:

Unless you purge shaders each time you're about to play, you should only see this shaders compiling when DCS gets updated.

In your second log, we can see the shaders compiling ended and you were given the cockpit to fly:

Indeed it was, should I just wait longer before attempting to press the “fly” button to let the shaders compile? On some occasions it would get me past the briefing window but I would get the not responding message soon after.

It is worth waiting, it seems you are having issues with shaders for some reason. 

please ensure windows and your display driver are up to date. 

If you continue to have issues please always attach the dcs log so we can see what you attempt shows in the log.

The issue still persists. I was able to load up the TF51 and fly around for a little bit without issue. I then reinstalled my modules and loaded up the tomcat, I waited about a minute or so before starting, my track ir was working too so I thought I would be good but the issue still remains.  I attached the MT log.

 

 

 

Also, after restarting my pc again to get out of the not responding message. I saw the screen with the 😞.  I was able to get it fixed via the troubleshoot menu. When I booted back into windows all of my DCS files were gone again.

Are you sure you don't have a failing drive?  I'm far from a hardware expert, but I just ran into a failing drive recently that caused weirdness.  And the "boot device inaccessible" and fact that your files are changing/disappearing might point that way.

Hi. You need to ask Windows to check and repair your system drive. Try this:

  1. Run a CMD window as administrator.
  2. Execute this command: sfc /scannow
  3. Execue the command: dism
