Ramires Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Hello guys, yesterday I was struggling with my Reverb G2. Actually it runs normal. But after I'd left my PC a few hours ago I saw several spots under my G2 lying on a white piece of paper. I changed the paper and the surface the paper was lying on - same result. Any idea if that matters ?
Glide Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Get a small desk fan. I have the Varnado which is quite effective and not very noisy.

I wouldn't know without tearing one open but, to be honest it wouldn't be a bad idea for protection against corrosion on some of the more fragile connectors considering the amount some people sweat while wearing one on their head for hours. Again, this is just a guess. If it is in fact dialectric grease, maybe the assembler used more than necessary. Might be worth a look. Mars Exulte Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I should think if it's leaking that much you should be able to see the oily stuff on the bottom side. And concur it's probably dielectric grease, although it seeping out is a bit odd, and yeah definitely keep that <profanity> out of your eyes whatever it is. Sr. Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 (edited) Could even be a blob of solder flux paste, misplaced during assembly. Considering the heat inside there...
