Flight Stick for Warbirds?

I'm having great difficulty flying warbirds without pulling into flight departure.  Warbirds are the one area where lack of FFB is really a handicap.  For me at least.

Has anyone found a flight stick with good enough effects that let you know where the pull limit is on the WW2 planes?

I don’t think anyone makes FFB sticks anymore. There used to be MS and Logitech ones but they’re discontinued.

^ Not anyone of "mainstream" manufacturers, but if money nad time are no limit, one can order FFB stick from "boutique" suppliers: Brunner or VP Force. No idea how they work in warbirds, though (but I suspect they're all affected by the same axis-curve related force centering problems that have been reported multiple times in Spitfire, Thunderbolt and Mosquito sections of the forum).

Couple of guys on the forum have these, maybe someone will chime in.

If you got $1500-2000 brunner is an option. I got one recently I'm very happy with it.

But if you're just gonna fly just warbirds, the easiest would be just finding a used Microsoft FFB 2 on ebay.

I mainly fly jets, I’ve just recently begun flying the warbirds and can’t dogfight without trashing the plane because I have no idea where the pull limit is until it flips inverted and heads for the ground.

The Concorde, the Space Shuttle, FFB sticks, Tabasco Cheese-Its, all gone. 

What is the world coming to?

Not saying it’s all negative. We’ve identified two or three dozen new genders, so at least we’re heading in the right direction on the stuff that matters.

Alas, I’m not real keen on used joysticks.  Is the Bruner stuff just as “good” as the old sidewinder FFB?  Is it the same thing?

I think you can't really compare the two as the Brunner option would be high-end in comparison to a Sidewinder 2.

I am no fan of used stuff either but got 2 used MS Sidewinder 2 FFB for warbird flying. Paid ~30€ each so not much wasted if you want to check if you like it. FFB is a real nice touch for warbirds - but yet I am flying with my Virpil Stick.  So maybe go get a used Sidewinder and if you think it is worth you can still get a Brunner or something else more sophisticated.

If you would compare it to racing wheels, the ms ffb2 is the logitech g25/27 and the brunner is a solid direct drive wheelbase. 

But honestly the best option would be to look for some used ms ffb2 sticks i have now 4 or 5 of them because i bought them between 25 and 50 euros. But i am little bit paranoid and don't wanna miss my ffb at all.

Got it .... yeah, I have a DD1 for iRacing (because the DD2 was perpetually sold out for a year).  I stepped up from a T300, so I imagine it's like that difference in quality.  I smell what you're cooking.
