Continuing with the Balkans speculation... has anyone drawn out a DCS sized map outline of the area on google maps? Would Aviano AB squeeze into that?

It is not yet confirmed if the next map will be the Balkans and it may be too early for them to decide how big the final map will be

And of course I hope it's the Balkans but there's a chance it won't be, I believe they'll announce from 2024 what the next map will be

Yes please. I would suggest projecting south to include Sicily. I am particularly interested in WW2 but it could potentially work with a '90s map.

But it would be very nice to have the north part of Libya too, so many missions down there: 1981 gulf of Sydra incident, 1989 Gulf of Sydra incident, 2011 operations, WWII North Africa OPS, Malta WWII...

This way from a 1999 only map it become a +80 years old span map

I know it would be a HUGE map but one can dream...

A Mediterranean map from Libya to Greece/southern Italy and stretching East to Crete would allow for a lot of campaigns. It would be a bit smaller than the Afghanistan map and about 70% water.

How about a Map that they actually have working Navaids, including Tacan's, NDB's , Working ILS's.

I literally have more inserted nav stations (mission editor tacan) that they have missed or not working than they put in.  They release new airfields same problem.

Please start simulating Navigation - esp for gen 3 aircraft.

Sinai is in a poor state at present, with little interaction with the community and everything listed as "added to list - priority medium".  Why have we had silence - been working on Balkans, meanwhile Sinai can't even get spawn points right without blowing up, Ai taxi routes, or navaids.

If you can't simulate systems we might as well just fly around in the Yak 52.

Balkans would have been a day 1 buy for me - Not with there approach however, not until they sort out Sinai (should be a concern given i normally buy all modules and have done since lomac days).

Considering they got slapped by ED for what appeared to be a tease or hint, you're likely going to have to wait for the announcement rather than getting an announcement that an announcement is coming.
