Brobear04 Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Here are the special options I have configured: Takeoff Assist: 0 Auto Rudder: OFF For context: Each time I apply a wheel brake the rudder will tend to move opposite as if to stabilize as if someone is pressing it for me. I would say it's the way the aircraft is moving forward with the wheel centering itself except it's not a caster wheel and the pressure applied is usually great enough to fling it in the opposite direction. This issue only really happens in multiplayer and I believe it's a global setting, but I can't seem to find any settings with names hinting at this behavior. I've had this issue for some time now and it's making it incredibly painful to fly props in DCS multiplayer.
Art-J Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Keep in mind special options can be forced in mission file, and/or by server hosts, and override your own settings. If that's the case on MP servers you're using, I think you can't do anything about it really apart from talking to server admins about it. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

Reflected Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I only see 'game flight mode' but not module specific settings. How can you force it? Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Art-J Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I don't remember the details precisely either, but as an example, both Fw-190 taxi & takeoff tutorial missions have been having full takeoff assist forced on forever, same for landing missions IIRC (unless it changed within last year, I haven't played them in quite a while), so it's definitely buried in the mission files... somewhere. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Rebel28 Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 The 4ya AO server would force this on sometimes with an update. So even if you have it turned off on local settings it would override your settings... We would have to contact the Server Admin for them to turn it off. This was on the P-51 which I fly.

Probably in the mission lua just like the weird bug where you can force on random fails despite it clearly disabled in the mission editor interface.
