Flat shadows on the ground / Still a problem

Hello colleagues, I'm interested in how to avoid darkening the ground without turning off Flat Shadows in the options? I tried to remove the Cirrus clouds when I set the task in the Mission Editor but without success, the shadows remain, is there something else I don't know and I need to do?

Flat shadows are a problem though. They are definitely illogical, they exist on the ground and cover a huge surface of the earth and when the cloud cover is low with very few clouds, they even cover the ground and when the sun is shining and not obscured by clouds, I am asking the admins and the team to look into this, it is really illogical that they spread across the field when the sun is not blocked. When I do not add any clouds and leave only volumetric clouds and cirrus, then the terrain is clear,in the previous version 2.7 this was not there.   First image version 2.7 / Second image version 2.8 Caucasus terrain.

Are these screenshots from the latest Stable or Open Beta? The last OB apparently included some tweaks which are supposesd do improve the ground shadows. The problem is discussed here:

Here are new images from the stable 2.8 version, I took a picture of the terrain and immediately the sky at the same time, it is noticeable that the shadows on the terrain are present even when the sky is clear, volumetric clouds do not create shadows but when normal clouds are added, this time I only added density on 3 / flat shadows cover a large part of the terrain where there are no clouds.

Hi please include short track replay examples so we can investigate.

The shadow could also be from terrain depending on the suns position.

thank you

Yes, post a short track please so that the guys using Open Beta can check if the Monday update fixed the issue. If it did, you will just have to wait until Stable catches up to the same version number.

Here are some short tracks, the terrain of the Caucasus is beautiful to me, I hope I took a good shot, starting from Kobuleti and you will notice, regardless of the small amount of clouds, everything is clearly visible on the ground, but when I crossed the Caucasus, things change and the terrain becomes dark. The time is 1 pm the sun high...Note: This refers to the terrain or the map of the Caucasus
