Hey @wowbagger. Rename your "Saved Games/DCS.../Scripts/Export.lua" to "Export.lua.bak" and see if you can still reproduce the crash.

You can also rename your Saved Games/DCS../Config/options.lua" to "options.lua.bak", start DCS, log in, then reset your graphic options (you'll retrieve your Special options in time, if that works).

You can also empty your "fxo" and "metashaders2" folders, and try uninstalling/reinstalling your GPU driver.

Your W10 is also missing an update.

All my crashes have been in the Tomcat. These ones were in the PG as I was trapping on the carrier - one happened as I was watching 2 F-18s trap before me.

I just did a slow repair, removed all mods, updated the graphics drivers (nvidia), and then left the F-14 circling around the carrier at 2000ft for 90 minutes. No crash.

So I'm no closer to knowing what caused it in the first place.

Thanks for looking into it for me Flappie. You're the best troubleshooter ED has.

Yes, I did the same. Ran the same mission which crashed before, for a long time and no problem.

I almost wish it had crashed 😆.   Not knowing what causes it makes me still wait for it to happen again.

Thanks for the compliment. 🙏  I wouldn't say I'm the best troubleshooter, but I'm certainly the most visible one, seeing the time I spend in this section of the forum. 😄 The offficial ED tech support guys, among them maximov and Feeleen, are very good at understanding what goes wrong with DCS, but they're often way too busy answering support tickets to show up here.

I'm glad it works for both of you. Come back here in case the error returns.
