solved Crashes to desktop

[DH14300]

Hello,

After only a minute or 2 of flying, the latest version of Open Beta (latest version as of today, 8/16/23) crashes to desktop. I've run the 'slow' file repair a couple of times, scf scannow (no issues), updated my 3090 to the latest driver but the problem persists. Attached is the last log created. If anyone has some suggestions on how I might resolve the issue, I look forward to hearing from you. DCS has been unusable for many months due to this problem.Thank you!

I'm getting crash to desktop about once every 3 hours in MP.
Opening my log I see a lot "invalid damage model" for all kinds of planes i own, and don't own, plus sound ERRORs like:

make your pagefile 32768 min and 32768 max.

make sure you have Device hotplug disabled checkbox checked in options within the game.

I also seem to have errors like missing roads and aircraft parts. For example:

WARNING FLIGHT (Main): No taxiroad found on Batumi from 11 to 1

Repair tool missed these perhaps?

Ok - page file set to 32768 for Initial and Max. Device Hot Plug Disabled in Controls menu in-Game. Again, after a couple minutes I have a CTD. Restarted DCS, started a flight and same thing.

Keep the the ideas coming. I'm determined to fix this once and for all.

i also see you are using single thread instead of multi thread. is that intentional?

with that all said i am not convinced that hotplug is your issue. it is something easy to do and eliminate as a problem. and your dcs.log does not indicate a crash per se. it just ends. it could be a windows error causing the crash. look at you event viewer to see if anything shows there.

Hmmm - I'll reboot and launch the multi thread exe and report back. We'll see if the log shows Device Hotplug Disabled. Strange, the control settings page is displaying the button currently as 'Enable Device Hotplug' which would indicate that it's disabled. Thanks again for your input!

I Rebooted my PC and started the Multi-thread Exe (in bin-mt) as Administrator and tried a couple of flights. Both crashed within a minute or two. Hot Plug is Disabled. Image attached. Any suggestions?

DCS crashes aside, does your PC perform without any glitches, erros and BSODs in general ? Do other games that tax the PC real hard have issues too ?

Do stress tests run flawless ?

 

If your PC quits DCS after a couple minutes, for months now, it may well be non-DCS related.

Running Passmark tests now and will report the results. Latest crash indicates DX11backend errors which I suspect is the main issue. Looking here on the forums for possible fixes. Attached are the log files & DCS log.zip (crash, dmp, log, trk & dxdiag, etc).

run DCS ST and MT without run as admin. this is reported to cause problems with some users. hot plug in the log is still not registering. you latest dcs.log finally shows a dcs crash. it is possible you have a memory problem. have you tested? also do you have any overclocking?

Latest update seems to make loading faster but rather unstable. My DCS crashed in MP flying Apache after half hour. The log already sent to ED.

That was it! I had OC'd and unstable memeroy. I had forgotten all about it lol. Running beautifully and stable with MT.

Yes, have both of those done for a long time. WRONG, I had a MIN Page File of 17k, not the 32k. I"ll see if 32k MIN helps.

I started a new Crash post.   Crash and Log files attached, @silverdevil  Crashed again today, no rain or fog.
