ebabil
I use them in the mi8 all the time. I mapped a hat switch to yaw and pitch channels so I can make fine tuning during auto pilot flights and even precise landings. It is so useful for my ffb stick 1 FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir

It’s just since trim button resets/centers AP channels in Mi-24, I see no point for knobs except for messing with small changes. Hopefully I can get a button box with a few knobs for them Edited September 14, 2023 by AeriaGloria 1 Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
VladimirSputnik
Mapping the start sequence to controllers speeds up the start remarkably, especially if you have a lot of aircraft. I have to interrupt the sequence a few times due to certain switches that are not available for binding and then have to use the mouse. Please create bindings for the following: Converter 115V Cover Converter 36V Cover L Fuel Shut-off Cover R Fuel Shut-off Cover Fire Extinguisher Control Fire Extinguisher Power Fan Gyro 1 & 2 Radio Altimeter RV-5 Power Gear Lights Cover
Jakey-Poo
I badly need a course keybind for the compass. It might be the only aircraft I fly that doesn’t have this keybind.

It might be the only aircraft I fly that doesn’t have this keybind. Course knob keybind (analog for buttons, not an axis) is included in Munkwolfs Community Keybinds project. Would still love to see this (as well as an axis bind for course knob) integrated into vanilla DCS (and of course all the other extras from Munkwolfs). What i miss most right now: an option to bind the gear controls to a single 2-way switch ("up else down" and "down else up" bindings) that takes care of the gear lock lever too. Right now you got to bind both (gear up and gear lock lever up) as the gear is... well, locked to retract until the lock lever is up too. 1 Be aware of spam links posted on the forums Wishlist: Make textboxes scale like polygons | Eastern Caucasus map |

Schlingel mit Kringel
16 hours ago, Flappie said: It seems that the Gear Lights switch has no use (it's ON by default in a Cold Start Mi-24, and turning it off does not do anything), which is why I won't ask for the Gear Lights Switch Cover controls. 'Gear lights switch cover' and 'Gear lights switch' should be this one i marked. When you start at night, you can see the extended gear is lit. It is this switch, protected by a cover, controlling these lights in the second image. I am using Munkwolfs keybind mod, so these controls might not be in the vanilla game. But they control the gear lights cover and gear lights switch: Yes, from Munkwolfs: {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff_Cover, value_down = 0, name = _('Gear Indication Lights Cover - CLOSE'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff_Cover, value_down = 1, name = _('Gear Indication Lights Cover - OPEN'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff_Cover, up = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff_Cover, value_down = 0, value_up = 1, name = _('Gear Indication Lights Cover - CLOSE else OPEN (2-way Switch)'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff_Cover, up = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff_Cover, value_down = 1, value_up = 0, name = _('Gear Indication Lights Cover - OPEN else CLOSE (2-way Switch)'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff, value_down = 0, name = _('Gear Indication Lights - OFF'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff, value_down = 1, name = _('Gear Indication Lights - ON'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff, up = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff, value_down = 0, value_up = 1, name = _('Gear Indication Lights - OFF else ON (2-way Switch)'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, {cockpit_device_id = devices.CPT_MECH, down = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff, up = cockpit_mechanics_commands.Command_CPT_MECH_Gear_Pilot_LightsOff, value_down = 1, value_up = 0, name = _('Gear Indication Lights - ON else OFF (2-way Switch)'), category = {_('Left Front Instrument Panel'), _('Custom')}}, Be aware of spam links posted on the forums Wishlist: Make textboxes scale like polygons | Eastern Caucasus map |
Flappie
Oh, it had never occurred to me that the Mi-24 had small lights attached to the gear! Usagi
One binding that is missing is fuel cut up and down. Currently there's only toggle switch and I am using physical levers for these and there's no way to configure them like for example in ka-50 or in many planes.
