can not reproduce Can't lock up a target with HMD in dogfight mode

When switching to dogfight mode. I can't get the lock eclipse to appear. I push tms up and nothing happens. It won't lock when it's I'm boresight mode either looking forward with the cross visible. It does lock up targets but only.now and then. Has something changed?

1) Be sure to dial up the "Sybmbology Int" knob

2) TMS up does not activate or deactivate the elipse. Its long press DMS down

3) The boresight cross in the HUD is very reliable after the past updates. If its not locking the target it might not be in ACM range of 10 nm

If that does not help, you should provide a video or track file. Actually its not too clear to me what youre doing.

As darkman222 mention above check you have set it up correctly. 

I am not able to reproduce but if you still have issues attach a track replay showing the issue, please use air start mission to make it as short as possible.

HMCS PROBLEM.trkHere is the track file. I enter the instant action. turn on the HMCS and then hit the dogfight button. No matter which we I press the TMS switch it just stays in borsight mode and wont change

i watched your track and for the start you are in dogfight mode but did not choose which submode. note how your HUD reads "NO RAD".
after a while, you seem to have moved the radar cursor, which then enters ACM Slew mode. it isnt the most ideal mode to use if you are within less than 1 nm of the bandit that is evading. You would get a lock much quicker by using either the HUD acquisition (tms right), the vertical scan (tms aft) or since you use the HMCS you could use the HMCS LOS ellipse/Bore mode (tms up) when in dgft mode.

i suggest taking a look at the HOTAS commands in DGFT mode there's a nice graphic in the EA manual page 452

Thanks for your reply. I was trying to use TMS to shift into a different ACM radar mode but it wasn't working. Thats the issue I am having. I

You comments gave me a clue to the problem. You said I was slewing the radar cursor (I wasn't). But then that made me remember that as I have the cursor on an analogue stick on my throttle. Sometime the radar slews across to the left on its own. So I cleared the axis assignment and used the digital stick and problem solved. 

As the analogue stick was slightly on the move it was preventing me from changing modes
