Ok, after all this years is sad to see this still pending.

before we can consider animations of troops inside helicopters or vehicles, we need to move forward with Vulkan, we have to consider performance impact and the Vulkan API will hopefully help in this regard.

@BIGNEWY Will MT OpenVR support be included in version 2.9? I'd really like to see it. Thank you.

Rgr, have no idea of what that Vulkan is, but will keep an eye on this.

Vulkan is a alternative to DirectX. A software interface that enables applications (application layer) to „talk“ to the hardware in a standardized way without actually addressing it directly. Vulkan is supposed to have less overhead and being „faster“.

DCS is a DirectX11 Application. Re-composing it for Vulkan is quite a task and ED is working on it for some time now.

I'd like to get this a bit clearer. Will there be no OpenVR at all or not yet? Wouldn't there be any post-processing capabilities with DLSS or Vulkan? Reshade gives the ability to make the picture much sharper than OpenXR toolkit. Especially for people with not so good eyesight. Thanks

We have no plans to use openVR, openXR is the way forward for VR in DCS.

I would wait a little and see what options DLSS and other features bring to DCS settings that could help.

We're ALL eagerly waiting to see those options... Keep up the good work, we're counting the days. If only next week would be THAT week of 2.9, hmm.... :pilotfly:
