Welcome Orbx

Great terrain developers for platforms like MSFS,all eras. Very glad that they decided to build maps for DCS World,I am sure will not dissapoint.

So, after Kola  what can we expect from Orbx ? I have a dream list,

- NTTR expansion westbound, covering Miramar,Edwards,Fallon,San Diego,and others.

- Strait of Gibraltar, key door to the Mediterranean Sea, thus implementing the south of Spain, Albacete AFB,Moron AB,San Javier,Rota Navy  and north of Morocco.

- Vietnam !  dont explain about this map, whatever is very welcome.

- Balkans conflict, northeast of Italy + Aviano AB   and west of the old Sarajevo.

Uhmmmmm.....more additions ?

The Baltics. The Balkans are 99% sure to be done by OnReTech, just need confirmation. Vietnam and Korea will be done by ED.

Less maps but those that are done make of the absolute highest quality. I have faith in Orbx having used their X-plane offerings which are second to none. If we are going to have another Orbx I'd like Vietnam please!

They made a comment about their next map not being desert and highly requested by the community, and ED saying they themselves will do vientam and Korea. Have made people assume OnReTech is doing Balkans. As it's either Balkans or cold war central Europe that is left based on those criteria

They also said the map will have a sea separating red and blue forces. Everything points to Balkan.

Baltics by orbx would be great though

But does a sea separate red and blue in the Balkans?

Sure if you think just Italy as a base.

I don't know were the NATO forces all took off from during the various actions that happened there during the 90s. But I would assume some took off from Germany and some Greece or Turkey?

Almost everything was flying out of Italy.

Aviano, Ghedi, Istrana, Gioia del Colle and Grazzanise were the main ones. Only exception that I am aware of are a few hornets that were operating from Hungary.
