ac5 Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 VERY welcome the addition of the airfield Manston, among others to the Normandy 2.0 map. Though the “old” radio frequencies of said airfield are different than the ones in the “new” Normandy 2.0 map, see screenshots. That would not be a problem, but the ATC of Manston in Normandy 2.0 does not reply.... NEVER. No matter if the airfield is red, blue or white, no matter if the two- or three-digit frequencies are used, no matter the WWII airplane, USA, UK or German, no matter if one uses the “old” radio frequencies of the channel map OR the ones in the “new” Normandy 2.0 map... I have not tried other airfields. Please advise. 1 Mainboard: ASUS Maximus X Hero Intel Z 370 CPU: Intel Core i7-8086K @ 4.0 GHz Memory: 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3000 Graphics Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Monitor ASUS PA 329 32" @ 4K 1 SSD Samsung 860 PRO 256 GB 1 SSD Samsung 860 PRO 4 TB Windows 10 - 64 V. 2004 CH Pro combatstick, throttle and pedals

ac5 Posted December 2, 2023 Author Posted December 2, 2023 ED? I tried today to disable easy communication, but more of the same. ATC of Manston in Normandy 2.0 does not reply.... NEVER. Art-J Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) ^ ...which is completely irrelevant, though. Channel is Channel and N2 is N2. From DCS code point of view they're independent addons with airbases which might carry the same names but are separately programmed by a different company and that's it. As you might have noticed in this forum section, quite a few of new airbases introduced with latest N2 update suffer from various hardcoded bugs which limit their usability. The only thing one can advise is to post bug reports here. Ugra guys are usually not very active on English side of the forum, but there's hope they noted this thread and will submit fixes to ED for one of the next OB updates. Nereid Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 (edited) Indeed. I was using Manston as a training base for landings in my missions and this drove me nuts. I spend over an hour to get it to work (which I did by choosing another airfield) and after all it's a bug in the map. Some other airfields do work. ac5 Posted January 27, 2024 Author Posted January 27, 2024 Indeed... Deeply disappointing... It's 2024, it's DCS 2.9.2.49940 Open Beta, and still radio silence from Manston, Ugra and ED... They will have do redo it anyway when the new ATC comes out. So maybe it's not worth the time to analyze and fix this.Well, I'm a developer myself and maybe I wouldn't try to fix the problem either. But a few words about it would be nice. 352ndDeacon Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 At least Manston has an ATC even if doesn’t respond. Lympne doesn’t have a radio frequency no matter which color you choose to make it.
ac5 Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 Indeed a few words would be nice, either from Ugra or ED... Let alone the fact that this was working perfectly in the Channel map.... ac5 Posted February 24, 2024 Author Posted February 24, 2024 No way.... Newest unified version 2.9.3.51704 and STILL the radio of Normandy 2.0 Manston is broken... I mean.. is it really so difficult to fix this? Again... Letting alone the fact that this was working perfectly in the Channel map.... Ever so disappointed. Slippa Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 The idea of pinging the devs and ED was for someone to give us an answer. Maybe send them a PM? I’m no admin but I’ve seen this mentioned a few times. Bad form though, really, radio silence. 1
