resolved Completely Un-Playable for me

Since the last "Stable" Update this game is completely unplayable. First, I need to restart to get the game to load, then the game just freezes in the middle of anything.

i must say i have an issue in vr and  in 2de that he hten freezes and the loading icon appears, and graphonc card is not stressed so no data is then received for the card

also the ssd is not doing anything or i ve check even with taskmanager the memory but no nothing changes there

if i restart pc its somewhat better. ist this an issue with visuals c++? wich does he use?

ohyes after a wile the freez stops and it works again, its sometimes with intervals like he is is loading something but i could not see that in the memomry because then the memory usage must be larger

i will attache the logs later this evening

No any data, log etc. Which CPU, GPU?

About the freezing with the loading screen I managed to solve this by doing a slow repair, after it I found DCS quite more responsive and fast loading.  It worth trying just in case.

I followed the "Crash to desktop or other "as listed on the Forums. So I deleted my log and did a slow repair as recommended. Better, but not good.

The only MODS i have are CAM and MAM, with some skins i never use.

I never had a problem before. I have a I9 13900 with a 4090 and 64 RAM. Plenty of HD space. I am using the Win Wing Taurus and the F18 stick and TO panel. All is up to date including W10. Thank You.

Please remove all unofficial mods from  C:\Users\Ken Frasson\Saved Games\DCS\Mods

then run a slow repair. 

After restart allow time for DCS to generate new shaders if required. 

If you continue to have issues please attach your latest log again.

yes, best to remove all unofficial mods before doing any update. 

After a slow repair retry DCS without the mod just to rule it out.

Now, I did as you instructed and when I open the game, it just hangs there with a black screen.

Now its worse. Takes 5 minutes to load game, even longer for various campaigns/missions.

The crash occurred inside lua.dll.
Make sure you've installed the latest drivers for GPU and chipset.
Delete Saved Games\DCS(.openbeta)\fxo and metashaders2
Delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\TEMP\DCS(.openbeta)
Create an exception in your Antivirus for the DCS installation directory

restart dcs and allow time for shaders to be recreated

The game finally loaded and I did a easy no frills mission. I will try one with more action next.

it crashed again at LUA.DLL. i am nowhere near an expert but why is the crash mentioning "AmdPowerXpressRequestHighPerformance". what do you have running that uses this symbol? it looks to me you have an intel cpu and an nvidia gpu.

also review this post

also rename your options.lua to option.lua.bak. run game again and it will be replaced by a default file.

I very much appreciate the help. I have stable installed, but did many slow repairs and did what was mentioned. Most campaigns work good now as I have tried many different ones. Dominate Fury works but is very slow to load. The only way I would have what you mentioned earlier may be from a mission/campaign download. I removed mods except for skins.

since you are on stable the folder would look like

its located in "\Saved Games\DCS\Config"

but you seem like you are now good to go?
