Afghan War: "Szatan Arba" campaign

@YoYo I have a small problem. I land straight on stand 29 and turn on the auto-off function. My wingman lands straight on me instead of landing at his place on 28. Of course, at this point the missions are failed.

 

edit: This situation occurs when the 18th receives an RTB command. I landed now only by contacting ATC and my wingman landed at his place on the 28.

This can sometimes happen. I suggest always giving the order to return to base (RTB) basically in the final phase of the approach when we are landing or we are very close. Theoretically this can be improved but currently I'm doing something else so I suggest giving the order RTB by radio in the final phase of the flight, the later the better.

The RTB command works without collisions with landing on the runway. The problem occurs when landing directly on the parking area. Now I will land without giving the command to Igor.

Where can I find the audio files that are spoken there? I wanted to translate them into my language because my English isn't that good and the texts are also gone so quickly that I can't keep up with reading them.

Unfortunately, no chance, it's basically doing everything (almost) from scratch. On the plus side, I'll add that the region where this is happening corresponds very closely to the terrain around Jalalabad on Afghan map ((except textures for sure).

No, there is no need for that, the specific description is always in the briefing plus the most important things are in the kneeboard.

I'm having the same issue. The jeep pulls up, troops get out, radio them to embark, but they stay kneeling by the road. Is this working for others?

Fwiw it worked for me last week.  Try switching to ICS from the radio on the spu-8 panel then try to call them. Thats the only thing I can think of.

Thanks for the reply and the idea. 

I have tried every combination of radio settings. I can get as far as the Spetnaz say they are loading - but there is no further message and the soldier models never move from their position kneeling in front of the parking space. Sometimes the jeep will actually just drive right past and never even un-load the soldiers at the parking spot.

I guess it's just another reminder of why, every 6 months or so, I boot up dcs once more, try a mission or two, realize it's still riddled with bugs, old and new, and then I put away the joystick and go back to sim-racing for another half year. And of why I stopped buying anything new a couple of years ago.

"Szatan Arba" campaign is simply fantastic stuff - easily payware quality. But for me, dcs becomes ever more not worth the time & effort to try to make things work.

It's possible that the script in DCS itself has changed since then and something doesn't work the way it used to. I'd probably have to look into it at some point. You can even skip the mission using "skip" button. I'm sure that this function of embarking worked some time ago without any issue.

Ya, thanks man. It's probably something on my end. There's always 'something' with dcs.

I will just skip it for now. Your missions are too good to not eventually finish the campaign. Thank you again for this one, and I look forward to whatever you're cooking up next.

Hello....Need some basic help in the very first mission. After having flown for 3 times, I couldn't find the hidden camp in DISS-15 practicing part. My navigation is good, made it to the area, have searched for 15 minutes but couldn't spot it. Any help would be welcomed!!!

Did you find the camp? Contrary to appearances, it is not difficult to find it. Also, as I remember, if the "search" lasts too long, new comments will be added, which will narrow the search area.

Just finished the campaign.  It was a lot of fun. Challenging without being unfair.  Better then many of the paid ones. I know you're probably tired of hearing this, but I would love this to be an official 3rd party campaign on the Afghanistan map.  I'd definitely buy it.  In any case thankyou for the awesome campaign YoYo.  I look forward to anything you create in the future.
