VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Just asking. Auto-throttle seems to be great help in this regards. I Fly, Therefore I Am. One cannot go around not saying "Thank you" every time these days, can't you? YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc9BDi-STaqgWsjNiHbW0fA
dawgie79 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) I'm guessing the F/A-18C will be easiest since it has advanced fly-by-wire, therefor it's relatively easy to fly in a stable manner. Edited December 11, 2023 by dawgie79 1
SharpeXB Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) Yeah I think landing the Hornet might be the easiest. You don’t so much land it as fly it into the deck Edited December 11, 2023 by SharpeXB 1 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
TheCoyoteHunter Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 F/A-18 Hornet, basically a controlled crash onto the runway. Then when you get better you control crash it onto a big boat. 1 "The problem with internet quotes is it is very hard to determine their authenticity." --Abraham Lincoln DCS: FC3, FA-18C Hornet, Supercarrier, P-51D Mustang, F-5E Tiger II, A-10C II Tank Killer, Persian Gulf, The Channel, Normandy 2.0, WWII Assets Pack.

Yoda967 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Also, spend the time to know how the jet flies in the landing configuration before trying to land on the carrier. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration by practicing at an airfield until you can consistently touch down on a specific runway marking every time.
