  1. I love your campaigns @Badger633 keep em coming. In the mission "Snake Trap" you go and take out 2 lasered ground targets with laser mavs with the help of a JTAC. After targets are destroyed JTAC frantically calls you back and you have to take out armor headed up the hill to your JTAC. As soon as that armor is taken out, it says mission failed. While still in mission fail screen, JTAC will call out there is another vehicle to take out. I have played this mission over a dozen times in the past, I know how it plays out, or how its supposed to anyway. I am 100% sure that it is the correct vehicle that I'm taking out, and not accidentally the friendly JTAC. I have tried this mission 3 times now with the same results, I don't have a track file, but if you need me to get one, I can do that. Just let me know.
  2. Rtx 3060 / i7-11700 here, my testing... I get much less ghosting with the new version, much less. I'll say as much as 75% less. I'm on 1080p and DLSS on Quality still makes ground textures a little bit more blurry than I like. With DLAA only in this new version I get 30 FPS more than with MSAA X4, with only marginally worse textures. But the flickering/shimmering is gone with DLAA. I hope this is a sign of things to come, this newer version is a great improvement even with DLAA only.
  3. F/A-18 Hornet, basically a controlled crash onto the runway. Then when you get better you control crash it onto a big boat.
  4. The Enigma's server resets every 2 hours. Right after a reset its actually pretty good even with 40+ players. But 1 to 1.5 hours in its pretty bad. Generally worse for people with slower internet connections. I haven't noticed this on the WWII Wolf Pack server, but when I play there its usually less than 15 people on. When you watch the DCS network traffic it spikes up to 25 mbps during the time warps.
  5. I'm not very NET savvy, and I may just butcher the proper wording of this. I think the problem has something to do with TCP vs. UDP internet. Gaming uses UDP, but DCS can log in with TCP no problem, but it will not show MP servers on TCP. When you are on TCP it will say Server Offline when you try to connect via IP. When you are on UDP and no servers show up, if you connect via IP it works, it seems to somehow switch something in DCS. I can recreate this on my end, using a TCP proxy through my phone's hotspot. Like I said logging in is no problem on TCP but no servers, and connect via IP says Server Offline. With no TCP proxy everything works. Again I'm not NET savvy, just sharing my thoughts and trials. 6. I'm on 1080p, in my opinion the dots are a step in the right direction. I wouldn't mind if they were slightly smaller, like 50 to 75% of what they are now. Thats my 2 bits on it anyway.
  7. MP is working again on 2.9 OB, not sure what changed, but ✔
  8. Tried everything I can think of multiple times now. I'm guessing its got something to do with my connection. I have got a 4gLTE connection that gives me 50-60 megabits down and 30 up. Yagi directional cell booster antenna on the roof. Its the only net we have out here, and its worked for DCS in the past. Currently works well with other games like Battlefield 4, Arma and Squad. No idea whats going on, but if I get it figured I'll post it here.
  9. Hi all, Had to step away from DCS for a few months, got back, updated and now I cannot get any servers to show up in server browser. (running latest open beta) I am playing off my phone's hotspot, I know its not ideal but it has worked 'good enough' for me in the past. I have tried all the fixes that worked for guys with the same issue... -Deleted the saved games DCS folder. -Made sure ipv6 was enabled. -Removed all mods and did a slow repair. -Tried with a VPN connection -Tried to connect via IP Address. -Enabled/disabled the Yellow Eye DLC thingy in the server browser. -Set DNS to 8.8.8.8 -Disabled firewall Let me know if I have missed one, log file attached. Many thanks! dcs.log
  10. Hello everyone, I have the Hornet and thus I can get the Supercarrier(SC) for $29.99. (reg. $49.99) There is a certain youtuber that has a promotional code for 15% off. When I enter this code it says the code is good and all, but doesn't give me a discount on the SC. On other modules the discount works, but not for the SC. (Code listed also says "Excludes AH-64D and 3rd Party" nothing mentioned about other modules) I'm guessing that because there is already a discount applied to the SC, being that I have the Hornet, I therefore cannot stack a promo code on there. Just want to confirm if that is the case. I have had the SC in my cart soooo many times, but land up either removing it or buying another plane/jet. thanks Coyote
  11. Thanks for the detailed reply @QuiGon! I'll take the dive into Open Beta and PVP, should be an easy target for bit...lol. Many exciting hours in the Hornet in single player, but watching YouTube / Twitch of PVP engagements, I get drawn into the whole dynamic competitive aspect of going against actual players. Regards Coyote
  12. Good Day Guys, I have been playing DCS for a few years now all on stable version. I would like to get into PVP multiplayer, and for that I pretty much need to switch to the Open Beta version, as most of the popular servers run OB. How big are the OB updates, most stable updates are 30-35gb and happen every 1-3 months. Open Beta updates happen up to 3X per month, would all these updates be 30+gb? Can I still choose 'Update Later' when on Open Beta? (obviously no multiplayer if I would choose to 'Update Later') Reason I'm asking, is my internet is painfully slow, 5+ hours for 35gb. Its stable enough for online play, like Battlefield 4, CSGO etc. just takes forever to download large files. I have Hornet, Mustang, FC3, Persian Gulf and WWII Assets. I found a thread that explains how to switch to OB, so that wont be an issue whatsoever. Thanks Coyote
  13. Do you have any Maverick missiles on the jet? If you have mavericks selected as weapon, the RAID/FLIR takes priority to the Maverick's Wide/Narrow view, no matter what ddi the Sensor Select diamond is.
  14. Hi @condor11, It was shipped via FedEx Express. When ordering from VBK to Alberta, Canada, you are given 2 options, DHL for US$57.00 or FedEx for US$60.00. I chose FedEx but I really don't know why. The joystick itself is absolutely fantastic, I just wish more of the CAD$321.00 could have gone to VBK instead of FedEx, VBK got around CAD$210. I was on the fence for a long time as well about the unknown additional shipping fee(s) associated with ordering from VBK. Lots of write ups over on Reddit. That's why I wanted to share my experience. Regards Coyote
  15. Hello @TRNow I was wondering if you have figured out a way to make this work. I recently got a NXT premium as well and while I use TrackHat (alternative to Trackir), my 10 yr old son doesn't care much for head tracking... yet. To set up the ministick to control view in DCS, you will need to set the ministick mode to TempoB, and set the ministick axis to relative as opposed to absolute. Here is the video I followed, at 3.50 to approx. 5.25 it explains TempoB and how to set ministick axis to relative. In DCS you bind these axis to absolute camera view vertical, and absolute camera view horizontal. If you require further assistance, let me know.
  16. Good day everyone! Some time ago I was wondering how the import/tax charges were handled when ordering from VBK to Alberta, Canada (5%GST applies for Alberta). So for those interested here is how it went for me... -Placed order on June 27, 2022, and selected FedEx for shipping. (Total US$225/ CAD$297) -Received email on June 28, 2022, saying that my address is in remote location, and FedEx needs an additional US$35 to deliver. There were a few options given; pay the additional fee, cancel the order or provide a different address that is not considered a remote location. I was able to have them ship it to my friend who lives in a major city just 30min drive away. -Received an Email from FedEx on June 30, 2022 with a tracking number. -July 07, 2022, package arrived in Canada, and was delivered same day. I happened to be in the city when my friend called telling me my package had arrived. Now as soon as I saw that my package was in Canada I contacted FedEx and asked if I would have to pay a import/tax fee. They told me that I would receive an email on how and where to pay within 24hours, or I can go to https://www.fedex.com/paynow/payment and input my tracking number to see if I owed anything and pay up before receiving the email, amount would be the same anyway. FedEx also told me that this could likely speed up the delivery by 1-2 days, so I went ahead and payed my dues. Expected delivery was July 11, 2022, but was delivered yesterday July 07, 2022. Total cost came to CAD$321, put it together and set the mini-stick mode to TempoB , so far it feels much better than the TM 160000, especially the twist axis. Here is an image of the Import/Tax fees:
