mod conflict GAME CRASH at Net Sim Post Start when Connecting on any Server with AMD GPUs (f.e. RX 6700 XT)

Hey folks,

we are a little German DCS Community with different Players and different Systems. With the new Update from today 2 of our Members get crashes when they connect to any Server. The Game does NOT crash when the 2 of them start Instant Action or anything else but the Multiplayer to a Server.

This only happens to these 2 AMD Users, All Nvidia Users can play...

SLOW Repair and deactivation/deinstallation of 3rd party Mods won´t fix this, we tried it several times. We suspect an Error with the GPU Pipeline.

I´m one of them and i will create a new log, but i have do a new repair and clean Saved Games Folder, this will take some time

Okay, i´ve done some steps more... After creating a new Folder in Saved Games, the Game is again startable. But i´m not shure what causes the crash, we suspect AMD GPU in combination with one 3rd Party mod in the Saved Games Folder, but currently not shure which one... Funny enough only AMD Users on our side are affected, we all pretty much have the same mods so it´s a bit strange

*THREAD CAN BE CLOSED AND DELETED* We solved it on our OWN. It´s AMD with one of the following 3 3rd Party Mods:

- Hercules from Anubis

- JAS 39

- UH-60L

But as mentioned only with AMD GPUs

Yes, I had the same issue as Toasty.  Thanks for the comments, it was the JAS 39 Module that caused my issue.  Also, I'm using an NVIDIA setup so it's not AMD specific.  -Respectfully.

Hi Flappie,

I have the same problem, but I think it's due to a loss of DCS performance:

In my DCE missions (a bit busy ^^), in multiplayer, when I get to the aircraft selection page: it's impossible to choose a slot, DCS is too slow and doesn't respond anymore.
If I delete 3 of the 4 Patriot sites, 2 Hawk sites and around twenty ManPads: I can finally click on a slot, but in DCS, I'm still at 9 FPS instead of the 20 to 30 initially.

I've deleted all the scripts: same thing.
I did a thorough repair of DCS: same thing
disabled all third-party modules: same

I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core CPU (3.6 ~4)
32 GO Ram
RTX 2070

after extensive research, windows 10 was the culprit.
It was an old win10 that had been transferred from SSD to SSD.
A formatC: solved the problem.

I'm having the same issues but on an Nvidia card. The squadron I fly with has all three of those mods, but I was the only one having the issue tonight and I know most of them are on Nvidia as well. So it sounds like it's just completely random... I'm AFK right now otherwise I'd try it and report back. Thanks for giving us something to try.

It is also NVIDIA users. I have been having the same issue and I use an NVIDIA card. Interestingly, after I removed the UH60L, the JAS39, and the Herculs 6.8.2 Mods from the saved games folder, it seemed to work again.

Been experiencing the same issues and on an Nvidia card, I removed the UH-60L mod and DCS started to work again as it should.   I left the the Hercules Mod in place and it doesn't seem to bother my DCS at all, so in my case, it is very definitely the UH-60L.

I don't have any of the mods listed here, on an NVIDIA card, and still have hung starts at Sim PostStart.

My mistake, got the "Net Sim PostStart" hang confused with the "Sim PostStart" hang.
