Hi @=HH=MADMAX

To me, it looks like the stuttering problem some people are having (me between them).

Try the "affinity fix" to see if that helps. To me it is ok, although it is not perfect and still have some crashes when loading the mission.

And yes, it sucks that a better PC is doing worst...

Saludos.

hello. the file you want to post (attach as a file; don't cut a paste) is highlighted below DCS. notepad will open the files with a .LOG extension. attach all 4 of the top files as attachments.

attach is at the bottom of post where you type for the post.

easiest thing to try as it will allay other possible errors is to go to Saved Games and rename the DCS.openbeta folder to DCS.openbeta.BAK. then run DCS. exit DCS. go to Saved Games and copy \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input folder to the same place in the folder that was recreated. then run DCS again. let me know how it goes.

Wow this sounds complicated to me I feel am going to screw something up . Am thinking wouldn't it just be easier for me to un Uninstall dcs and just reinstall I know I would have to reconfigure my control settings but I feel that would be easier for me then to start renaming folders and moving stuff . Just an idea

one never has to uninstall dcs. the repair essentially does this. the saved games is unaffected. if there is debris in the saved games folder, then you will get same results.

i can give you instructions in a list step by step if it helps.

you can rename the dcs.openbeta folder to .BAK and run the sim. you will not have controls though.

If you  don't mind a step by step would be nice I really appreciate your help and time. I really don't know how I ended up with that mod

no problem helping.

here is a short list. all these changes can go back to start point so do not worry. just do not delete anything.

Quote

rename \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder to \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta.BAK
run DCS (DCS.openbeta folder will be recreated)
exit DCS
copy \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta.BAK\Config\Input folder to \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\
run DCS

let me know how it goes.

Then am going to copy the input folder to DCS.openbeta config folder .

Am not copying it to the DCS open beta.BAK config folder ?

You need to copy that input folder "from" the DCS.openbeta.BAK folder into the newly created DCS.openbeta folder (created by DCS when you ran DCS after renaming it to DCS.openbeta.BAK).
The reason for copying only the Input folder is to have all your controllers back on how they were set up in your original DCS.openbeta. That way, you can test with your old inputs already configured.
Now that this is done, run DCS again. It will run with a new, fresh default configuration besides the Inputs.
This will rule out or point out if your problem sits inside the old SavedGames\DCS.openbeta folder.

Hello

I have the same CPU as yours, and also had these kind of lag/freezes for a couple of months, starting as soon as the main screen appears. Not sure of the freezing that you are experiencing is the same as mine.

I tried almost everything that other folks suggested in this forum (disable GPU acceleration, add DCS folder in Windows Defender exclusion, delete FXO/Metashader folders etc etc). The only thing that actually worked was de-flag the CPU 0 in the DCS's processor afinity (attached). The freezes (that can take up to 8 seconds) go away as soon as that box is de-flagged.

I am no computer expert, I have no idea how that workded, but well, I have experienced zero lags/freezes so far.

Hope that helps you as well.
