Zabuzard Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 would greatly appreciate a link to the version history page on the git in the online manual, for quick reference; TYVM!It will be made available with the release of the Phantom :) 1
HB_Painter Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Am 13.3.2024 um 19:27 schrieb mattag08: This still doesn't look fixed. Also, it would be nice if the second half of the sentence could be expanded upon. It is currently very oddly worded. Does it require the compass mode selector knob SYNC position to be used? Even a link to 2.10.1.3 of the document would help. (It's also missing a period at the end of the sentence.) Also the page break is in an odd spot. It does not seem that this sentence is directly related to the sentence above relating to the change in ADI source data when going from PRIM to STBY. I would move "When transitioning between STBY and PRIM, immediate attitude information may show unusual gyrations on the attitude director indicator due to initial erection" up to the previous paragraph where it makes more sense. If it is meant to be included with the statement about synchronization, then more detail is needed, because it there isn't enough information to understand how those two sentences are linked. If this works similar to the F-14, I would rephrase the last sentence as: "Rapid turns (above 15° per second) may temporarily disrupt accurate heading information, requiring the pilot to perform a manual synchronization of the ADI. Manual synchronization is performed by flying straight and level flight for approximately 20 seconds while holding the Compass Mode Selector Knob in the SYNC position (it is spring loaded to SLAVED). This information also feels a little out of place since it delves into systems and 2.1 seems to be more of an overview of the cockpit. So after talking to my colleagues I can verify that 15°/min is correct however the sentence was, a bit short frankly and the explanation lacking a bit. What the old sentence meant was that the automatic synchronization would cut off at above 15°/min. After returning to a straight and level flight the automatic synchronization would kick back in. That takes about 20 seconds to do. If it should fail you can manually synchronize it with the mode selector knob on the compass control panel. It is now explained with a bit more detail thanks to everyone that brought that up
Indianajon Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 I know its been asked before but is there any chance of getting close up images of each console without a grey out so we can see how the cockpit panels will look and how the switches relate to each other. Would be great for practicing cold and dark. 1

Elf1606688794 Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 I found this: Quote the six-barreled Gatling style rotary cannon provides a user-selectable rate of fire from 4000 to 6000 rounds per minute It would be more accurate to say "a user-selectable rate of fire of 4000 or 6000 rounds per minute." Your only options in the real thing are 4000 or 6000 rpm, high and low, nothing in between. This is on the first page about the gun. I also noticed you forgot to capitalize the first letter of the first sentence in the "Introduction". 1

Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 3.13.2 Radar Warning Receiver: - (Very) Minor typo: last entry under "land and air based threats" it says "F-1, AJS-37, F-4E, MiG-19, MiG-21, MiG-23, F-5E-3" which should be "F1" instead since we don't have the "F-1" in DCS (and likely never will since it's such a niche aircraft); - Perhaps I missed something but I was looking for the meaning of the number at the 6 o'clock low position of the CRT display of the AN/ALR-46: the one that says "080" in the first picture in the manual and "010" in the second. Is that signal strength of the currently focussed threat? Estimated range? Or does that have any other meaning? Slippa Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Going through the training and I'm trying to find out if I can disable the kneeboard type page on the left side? I can read the instructions up on the right hand side and hear them ok but I'd rather have the left page either switchable or to be adjustable if there's a way? Cracking job's been done on everything as far as I can see, no complaints from me other than I can't work this one out .

Stickler Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 (edited) According to the manual (Emergency - Heatblur F-4E Phantom II), WSO pushing his EJECT light causes the pilot's eject light to illuminate. In the game, this does not work. This is correct behaviour as per RL manuals: I suggest to amend the manual accordingly. Edited June 17, 2024 by Stickler

Yoda967 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Unless I missed something, there doesn't seem to be anything in the manual yet about how to jettison the drop tanks. Had to go to the RW F-4E manual to figure it out. Having a blast getting to know the Brick. Thanks, Heatblur, and everyone who's pitched in with their RW expertise! TheBiggerBass Posted March 12 Posted March 12 (edited) I bought the F-4E modul two days ago and am currently working myself through the trainings. I would like to display the DSCG on a second display as I did with my other modules too by modifiying the MonitorSetup.lua files. What I am missing is the correct unit type name for the center DGCS (and other MCFDs). I tried the usual names like LEFT/CENTER/RIGHT_MFCD, RADAR, RADAR_SCOPE, DSCG but nothing works. I didn't find them in the manual either. Can someone help? Thanks. Aaand - another question: Is there any way to increase the font size of Jesters message board?
