Hi!

Starting learning the Apahe.

Running DCS World Steam Edition in MT Preview

Starting the Apache in training mission I've found:

  1. No Master Warning Light on when it tells me to push to off even if I've the flashing square indication to do it
  2. Low Rotor RPM indication in EUFD appears only when I start pushing levers to FLY position.... is that right?
  3.  The Wiper knob is in PARK position as described, but when starting COLD START I cannot put in Park Position
  4. I can't understand if it's a bug or I'm loosing something, but the Tail Wheel... once unlocked becomes uncontrollable. I suddendly start twisting and even if I try to go strait forward to align it before lock again... it doesn't. I've the indication in EUFD as locked but it moves again...

Hi there,

really only sure of item #2- This happens when you advance the throttles 'too fast'.  Try doing it much slower and see if it still happens.  This is not a bug as far as I know.

Good luck with the rest.

Tail wheel is very very very sensitive.   Need to get really good and very light with the anti-torque (rudder) pedals.

1 - When is this requested?

2- Like it was suggested, move the throttle levers to fly slowly. This doesn't sound like an error.

3- When is this happening? Are you using your mouse or using a key bind?

4- The tail wheel moves freely and has no directional control. If you remove the lock it will just move where it is pointed. You'll need to compensate with rudder input. This is a realistic behaviour according to our sources. Move slowly, apply proper rudder control and if you want to follow a straight line the wheel lock pin will engage again once the wheel is straight, never before that.

As a rule of thumb, whenever you feel you found an issue, please include a short track of the event happening so we can analyse the conditions.

If you're using the default keyboard bindings to move the power levers into the "FLY" position, I suggest to use [Num+] instead [PageUp].

[Num+] moves both levers smooth, while [PageUp] brings the power levers instantly from the "IDLE" to the "FLY" position, which results in the described "Low Rotor RPM" warning.

And you can use [Num-] To bring the power levers smoothly back from "FLY" to the "IDLE" position (instead [PageDown], which does this instant).

TAIL WHL UNLK SEL:  Pin is lifted and the Tail Wheel is free to rotate

TAIL WHL LOCK SEL: Pin is pushed down and "waiting" for the Tail Wheel that in his free rotation (casually or deliberately), the alining of the hole with the pin.

The confirmation of a real lock is the turning off of the UNLOCK light in the left panel

You just have to hold down the left mouse button, until the wiper has reached the parking position.

WoW... quite an year out of dcs for work....

Now restart the learning curve... LoL....

Ok as for the above points the last remaining is the 1. ... during FIRE TEST and the ENGINE START... the Master Warning light doesn't illuminate at all even instructed to push to turn off.

I also viewed severl videos and it should illuminate during the procedure.... is it a bug?

If it doesn't illuminate at all even while doing the test, it might be a bug.

Depending on how a training mission is scripted, the flashing yellow instructor brackets might continue to light up in case you pressed a button "too early." There are training missions which are waiting for the event to happen only after the instruction text has come up, so cancelling a caution before might then prevent to trigger something the mission script is waiting for to continue the course.

During test it illuminates...  when depressed it turn off... but the trainig and the check list says to push the warning light to aknowledge that should be lighted...

Also during the engine start I saw videos that show the warning light turns on ad a certain moment... bho... can't understand if it's a bug or a real behaviour.
