How to request repair?

On the ramp, engines off, at a friendly base, select Request Repair, nothing happens.

What am I missing?

Do you need canopy open?

"nothing" as in no radio communication to reply to you? 

Check the frequency to make sure you're on the right one.

If they did respond,  it takes maybe 170 seconds before they do it.

I don't have the canopy open, is that required?

There's no frequency. I select Request Repair from the comms menu, but nothing happens even after 170 seconds.

If engines are off, your radios or not working. You need to open canopy to talk to the ground crew.

As far as I remember, switch on the battery and you can use the radio.
