I’ve just seen a preview of IndiaFoxEcho’s Tornado for another flight sim of the non-combat variety, and …..WOW!

I know you guys helped Heatblur port the F14 over to aforementioned sim, is there any chance the Tornado might go the other way and come to DCS?

I probably shouldn’t link the YouTube video but it’s easily searchable - go check it out!

Thanks for the compliments, but there is already another 3rd party who is making a very good Tonka for DCS.

Have also just seen the CGAviator Tonka video on YT… absolutely blown away, especially Mach Loop and the recovery to Valley

Very impressive IFE - needs to be in DCS…

 

(frustratingly little shown for the other 3rd party DCS version - potential for a partnership approach???)

Aviastorm confirmed in their discord there is already a flying version of the module... but who knows whats the status of the FM and textures....

I think they are ahead than what they shown.... just my 2 cents

In any case, the meat and potatoes are the weapon systems. For a civilian sim, there's no need for them, while for DCS, that's where most of the time will be spent (although for a swing wing design like the Tonka, FM and flight controls are also quite complex). I don't believe a partnership would help all that much, though of course I wouldn't mind the two dev studios cooperating on research and so on.

I bought the Tornado IndiaFoxtEcho for "other" simulator. Just one word ... spectacular!!! But above all .... ready!!! It seems to me that the other developer did not go beyond some nice 3d exterior models and the relevant section of the forum refers to a discord page without much news on the development (actually none at all). I wonder why the project was not assigned to those who had the means and will to finalize it.

You cant really compare though. Are full fuel systems and such coded in the civ sim, like HB have done with their Phantom?

Actually our other sim products have fully custom code for systems.
Only weapons are not reproduced.
Our tornado has also a working TFR and Radar.
