Well, I'd rather have a really worked through and tested patch at a later time than one that is hurried to meet a specific deadline.

It's not like BS is in desperate need of patching anyway. :)

I have patch fever so I would like to see it NOW, but I want to see it done to ED's standards so I'll put a wet wash cloth over my forehead and wait. :D

I'm not gonna hide my dissapointment :(. I really wish at least some of the bugs would be corrected by now (HDG autopilot logic for example), and leave a second patch for polishing minor bugs. Slow development cycle kills my enthusiasm, fortunatelly I'm a patient person :smilewink:

Dissapointing really:cry:

I feel there has been plenty of time to sort out the major problems and I agree that a further patch mid year to iron out the smaller snags would have been a better way of keeping the community happy.

If nobody knows nothing about future patch everyone would be happy flying this incredible simulator.

The more i read and know about DCS work the best i understand why they are so cautious with the info they share.

Keep working until " it´s done "

I think it would be nice to have a patch now that fixes the major issues, and another patch down the road that fixes the minor ones, or the ones that ED is having problems fixing. One of the major issues is the autopilot holding the heading when you turn. This, apparently, isn't how the ka-50 is supposed to handle. So it would be nice to see a patch come out now with that fixed, for example.

Again, I have patch fever, but I would like a patch that fixes just as much as they can fix/implement. We'll be better off in the long run the more they can do in patch 1.

I hope they put a check box for the mouse track issue. its ok for start up but I get hopelesly crossed up between the mouse and hat switch in combat. but so far this is by far the best flight/combat sim I have played even with the small issues.

For those who have TrackIR and flying online check the scoreboard by pressing ' wich causes view stutters I got solution: go to \Ka50\Config\View and open view.lua, change "CockpitMouse = true --false" line to "CockpitMouse = false --false" and problem will gone.

The longer it takes, the more features and bugfixes it will contain.

Perfectly okay with me, as a patch is surely not needed to play the game.

Hope they fix wingman AI cause it is horrid lol. And also put the mouse bug in to play where you can move your head and click buttons all in one.

Guys, this is not the wishlist thread ;)

According the "tree fix", there is no such thing. The trees were not made collidable because that would have bogged any current hardware with the TFCSE engine. There is no fix to this, as it is an engine limitation and will most likely not be adressed until the new game engine comes out (my personal guessed ETA: 2-3 years from now).

I thought 1.0.1 was due out in May IIRC?

Anywho, the 3 biggest changes (as these are certainly against ED's intentions) that are required:

1.) HDG hold fix-already announced, super important.

2.) Fixing ABRIS coordinates: without this, you might as well chuck all the pages of your manual on ABRIS flight planning and entering coordinates into the PVI 800 for new route navigation, forget about using ths shkval for ingress point marking for use over the D/L, forget about using more obscure areas for INU fix, and don't bother trying the method shown in producers note 4 for INU updating, as the fix point won't be near where you actually need to perform your update. This actually looks like a map scale issue, that the ABRIS map scale does not have a proportionate ratio to the "real world". If this is the case, it's actually a RELATIVELY easy fix.

EDIT: I think it morphed into a wishlist since the OP was about bumming on the release status, and no new information is available, so there's really nothing additional to talk about. People are still excited about the prospect of the patch, so they want to add their 2 cents, but there's no real relevant info to the OP to add, so it becomes a wish list.

3.) INU error accumulation: Seems obvious to me they meant for this to be in there.

I think these changes are the most important because they are contrary to the printed documentation and video tutorials on how the aircraft is actually supposed to behave and be used.

I'll try ot find the May post if i can. As long as it's got quality content i'll be happy.

EDIT: Found the link to the thread saying May (it is just an estimate, but I haven't heard summer from anyone official, so that should make you happy!)

DOUBLE EDIT: Nevermind, i think i get your meaning, can't read cyrillic lol, but I see that dev posted later than the thread i linked to, so it does look like development is pushed back. What can I say, they gotta get that Hog in the sky!
