spacemishka Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Hi, nice to see that FC3 gets three more planes, good especially for beginners. But,..why there is nothing for the Warbird Community? We are lacking Full Fidelity Models (e.g. japanese Planes for WWII Marianas) and we have no Low fidelity models....and only one real map to use. Kola Map could be have Finish-Russian-Winter-War-Scenario,....but I-16 against 109? But even we have no early 109C or Hurricane for this. There could be really something. P. 3
Kang Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 109K at that. Which is a bit of a misfit all around. Definitely agree that the WW2 modules would be significantly more interesting if there were more decent match-ups happening; even the AI side of it is not exactly plentiful, even if you get the content pack.
upyr1 Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 I've said it multiple times before, ED really needs to work on East Front assets. I'd love to see the Caucuses map expanded to include Volgograd, and a 1940s version included so we could fly the I-16 over Stalingrad. As for the assets to add I would recommend starting with those that served along side both the I-16 and MiG-15 first 1

They really need to change their mind. There minimum I am asking for would be assest redfor that would work for both WWII and the Korean-war era. 1

The actual plans has Pacific (F6F and other Pacific modules) and West Europe (Bob module) by Nick Grey, and on the future make some Soviet forces assets by the Russian Forum. Mig-15Bis has present. Octopus-G La-7 and Po-2 (and surely An-2) was present on Korean War. The others was il-10 (1944), La-9 (1946), La-11 (1947), Tu-2 (1942), Yak-9 (1942) & Yak-18 (1946). _Hoss Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Well then...... we need the Corsair finished, we need a Hawker SeaFury, Meteor, F-84, F-80, AI B-29, and most importantly an F9F Panther and A-1D Skyraider.... and a Essex Carrier to operate them on. We have the Mustang, Saber and Mig-15. Now a relevant Korean map 50's and Semi modern eras. 1 Sempre Fortis

The A-1D (ad-4N) was a night attack variant I would like some more information but that could be interesting. My next question is would the planned Essex Carrier work? I know they went through a scb refit. We also need the redfor 1

Essex (SCB-27C) was on 55-57, Intrepid, Ticonderoga, Lexington, Hancock, Bonhomme Richard, Shangri-La. Dual Flight deck (Straight + angle deck). Essex (SCB-125) was on 55-58, angle deck. spacemishka Posted April 30, 2024 Author Posted April 30, 2024 WtH We need A6M, KI-84 and else for WWII Marianas, no La-7, no PO-2 or Mig-3... 1

The La-7 is in the works by Octopus-G so there is no reason to cancel it. I would agree we need the Zero and other Japanese planes especially as flyable modules. However we still need REDFOR assets for the Korean era as well as World War II. There is no reason to to have both. 1

I guess that's what was possible to do at this point in time. In most cases the hold up lies on getting a licenses and enough data to be able to develop a FF module. From what I know it cost a huge amount of money to develop a model from scratch if very little date exist for it. ED has so far only spent the necessarily money on wind tunnel tests and other to do the P-47 because they felt it was worth the investment because it would be a very popular warbird. So its not that easy to just pick a plane at will and develop it unless it will be an arcade style game. Edited April 30, 2024 by Evoman 1
