fjacobsen Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 (edited) The swicth for setting the HUD altimeter between radar altimeter and baro altimeter is still inop. Also the radar altimeter is able to display the altitude even at 40.000 ft, which I assume is incorrect - this is on the Kola map. The F-16's AN/APN-232 Combined Altitude Radar Altimeter (CARA) is rated for 50,000 ft, so that is correct. fjacobsen Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 Ok- but still the switch does nothing, as far as I can see. | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. NVMe SSD | 1x2TB M.2. NVMe SSD | 2x2TB SATA SSD | 1x2TB HDD 7200 RPM | Win10 Home 64bit | Meta Quest 3 |

kotor633 Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 In DCS this switch is not implementet. This means: It has no function in DCS. 1 ************************************** DCS World needs the Panavia Tornado! Really! **************************************
fjacobsen Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 I would think it would be part of EMCON - being able to turn off an emitter. 1 | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. That switch has nothing to do with turning off the radar altimeter, it just alters the parameter visualized on the HUD. What you would be looking for is the radar altimeter power switch located by the LEFT/RIGHT PYLON and FCR power switches [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Simming since 2005 My Rig: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming, AMD Ryzen7 2700X, G.Skill RipJaws 32GB DDR4-3200, EVGA RTX 2070 Super Black Gaming, Corsair HX850
