Kankkis Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) I have been played this great sim about 12 hours. i have been missed overall my AF settings, i put it to 16x, OH MY GOD, my textures is so smooth now at the 8km, i can't believe that, it's so old engine but so fuc*ing good looking. THIS IS GREAT SIM, BEST WHAT I HAVE SEEN FOR 15 YEARS, i mean best what i have seen in my life. B.S. Longbow 2 was great too. Jani Edited April 24, 2009 by Kankkis

Safari Ken Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 my old trusty 7800GT is starting to feel old. Yeah, I had a 7950GT that was cooking along nicely, until the one-two punch of this game and Far Cry 2 finally forced an upgrade. :D

goldfinger35 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 It is interesting that this game is so cpu dependant; if I play with no aa and no af or max aa and max af there is no fps decrease. i7 920@4.0Ghz, 12 GB RAM, ATI 4890, LG L246WHX@1920x1200, Saitek X52 Pro, Saitek pro flight rudder pedals, TrackIR4, Audigy 2ZS, Logitech G9x, Vista 64bit.
kiss4luna Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 this article compared the AA/AF quality of GTX260+ and 4850 and said that 260+ had better AF quality than 48x0. http://alienbabeltech.com/main/?p=3188 i found that my 1950Pro is no powerful enough in DCS so i may upgrade to 260+ this summer or later RTX 3070
