Mnemonic Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 A friend of mine tested the Apache at altitudes that I thought helicopters designed for sea level could never attain - seriously high. The oxygen mask fitted fine with the monocle, it worked a treat as did the British Apache with its Rolls Royce engines. Thank you Mr.Macy! :)
EagleEye Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 PS HarperCollins released the paperback version of Apache today. The paperback version is interactive and a website accompanies it. We have MoD declassified video on the sight and its well worth a look (last video). It’s at http://www.harperplus.com/apache Thats a cool ad to your book Ed! I like the browser game. ED Team JimMack Posted September 25, 2009 ED Team Posted September 25, 2009 Just read Ed Macy's new book "Hellfire". As good as his previous book "Apache", A lot of interesting info on helo tactics in Afghanistan. When I get a moment to spare I want to create a series of missions similar to those he experienced in Helmand province. Having problems? EagleEye Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Not finished reading it yet, but so far Hellfire is again a great read. Man, I dreaming about doing this stuff in a simulation, thought in Realife I would shit in my pants every minute I guess. Can`t wait for DCS:Apache, period...
