So, after posting about this behaviour back in AUG 2022, I´m again fed up with DCS' stupid AI Wingman...

Why, just WHY is every AI Wingman not able to stay the F out of enemy territory?!?
Why, just WHY is every AI Wingman doomed to die when I order him to attack?
Why, just WHY has he all of his stand off weapons ready but to go in for a knive kill?
Why, just WHY can´t ED change this so that there would be any use of this essential help?
Why, just WHY can he spot a Bandit but will not engage - even if ordered to?
Why, just WHY does he jettison his weapons first chance he gets shot at?!?

How am I supposed to succeed in a mission on my own?
Take a look at that screenshot below (taken in VR, so not very good) and try to guess, where my hero wingman is.
Little hint: far right side. The little red thing between all the blues. Chance of survival? -4

So, after three tries I quit this stupid AF...

I'm sure ED is well aware of the severe limitations of AI. I don't think a track is helpful at this point, its more of a ED thing making the effort to develop a block of AI behavior into the game, in the same manner some BVR AI improvements were rolled out some months ago.

I think I've read in a newsletter ED is proposing this in building blocks, starting in BVR and moving to DACT and other areas.

If you want help please attach a track replay example showing the problem. 

We need to see what commands you are giving the AI so we can understand why you are having issues.

True. I mean, AI Wingman spots enemy at 25k behind a building - but needs to circle above it? Thats just so stupid.
One line of code could solve this: IF you can attack from far away: Do it! ELSE: Stay the F out of enemy territory.

But ok, I will give DCS another try today and add a track later.
