I've raised the sea level by 250 meters, which creates many new fjords and islands. It's not realistic, but it surely is a fun map to fly and re-discover.

It's a small mod file you can install to try it out yourself.

It would be great if though, if this became a mission setting rather than a mod, as it opens many new gameplay possibilities.

Love the idea and the looks! I take it that most aerodromes ended up underwater?

Yes, you can check here. Tbilisi, Beslan, Nalchik work for sure.

Where can I find this mod file? I didn’t see it in the DCS User files section.

It's on discord where its kept up to date. Feel free to upload to DCS user files, but i cant maintain all my files on so many different channels. So discord or github is the source of truth for my stuff.

You can put a static Aircraft Carrier on top at the same location 🙃

Yes, it needs to be static though otherwise the game glitches out if its placed over the "new" ocean surface.

Dynamic carriers work fine when placed over "old" oceans

There are also some static assets which could allow you to place custom airfields. Or one could create a runway 3D asset, add some hill/slopes on the side so it can be paced in uneven terrain. Beacons can also be placed in the mission. Not sure a static asset would behave like an airfield, but if the carriers work, I dont see why not.
