The software desperately needs the ability to have per-plane settings. Although I guess you can make it work with the importable settings, by saving multiple profiles and loading the right one manually. And it's not all that helpful that he compares it to the Brunner. We desperately need a Rhino comparison.

But it's a waiting game now. In September, we should see a flood of reviews and info.

Seem that it does in deed have this feature buddy.

Fortunately, either bolts or wood screws can be used for that base.  I sure as Hell would not be using suction cups!  I wouldn't even do that for a non-FFB device!

They also have some weird adapter plate that I don't understand the use of: https://mozaracing.com/product/flight-base-mount-adapter

It's a base plate, either you use suction cups with it or rig/ground mount your FFB base with it

Suction cups they must be kidding right?

They state: "Perfect for flat surfaces, it pairs seamlessly with suction cups to provide a firm and secure grip on desktops."

The plate doesn't necessarily seems to be intended for the FFB base. They show it off with a throttle.

It's in the description (which even I didn't bother to read at first, but why else have a plate with 22 mounting holes if all it's for is the throttle):

Quote

the mount adapter is designed to support a variety of bases and throttles

'A variety' is very vague, though. Since they don't even make more than one base, it must even include future Moza products or competitor products to deserve the plural.

I would say it's a safe bet for the FFB base given the number of holes it has.

sudden angry flashbacks about why various bits of brand and nonbrand kit all use different spacing for their holes none of which match any useful baseline like eg a small vesa monitor mount

I can think of nothing heavier than an airplane
I can think of no greater conglomerate of steel and metal
I can think of nothing less likely to fly

They just set the step into flightsim and somehow you want items to not be released, because not everything they are applicable for is available yet

This thing works with the FFB base and apparently the upcoming throttle, maybe even more in te future, but what is currently available and looking forward is not okay with you

This seems more like you're complaining just to have something to complain about

I'm not complaining, but just discussing the statements they make about their products, which seem a bit peculiar at times.

But perhaps you suffer from some choice-supportive bias, after ordering from them?

According to Jabbers on Discord, still no force trim and still issues with axis and certain button functions on Virpil grips.  Eek.

I still believe that great progress has been made. Was that a recent update?

Would be good to know what Firmware level he was up to as the latest in that video 1.1.1.15

My understanding is Jabbers utilized the firmware/software update released last week.  Not sure if an even newer one was released this week.

Being able to replicate the F16 force sensing stick is pretty cool.  Bit of a bonus.

Agreed, that video from HIP is really positive.  The software looks massively better.
After the first set of early previews, I’d put the idea on the back burner.  Now, just waiting for actual orders to ship.  I’d rather do that than pay upfront only for the shipping to slip

Seems that the new firmware is working out ok.

He did all what he could do, as it was at a show. I mean of course if he had one to fully test at his own leisure it would have been more in depth.

All he could show was a quick hands on which he did.

Glean what you can from it like I did.

Cheers .

The Moza mounting itself on a thin and unstable holder did not help much in the presentation.

Exactly! I expected things like that to be commented on, when it was so obvious. Why am I critical/interested? Well, Moza as a brand are sold in stores here in Norway. So I rather get one here.
Cheers!
