With the Rhino, we know that telemetry-based FFB in IL-2 is much better than the native FFB. Here someone who tried both, called the native FFB anemic in comparison to using the Rhino software:

But my expectation is that it will take quite a while before Moza is up to par with the Rhino software, although they do have the benefit of being able to learn from it.

nope, and I ordered on the 27th Sept.

Probably worth mentioning that I complained about them not meeting their stated dispatch SLA.

They gave me a £28 refund and promised to dispatch by the end of Oct.

@Mr_sukebe @Biggus Same here: ordered 24th of September and the PO is still in process. After sending a mail and opened a ticket, I got the same response, that delivery will be end of October. They also send a redeem code with a 5% discount on any new purchase, which is a nice gesture for the long waiting time. I guess, we´re getting the AB9 of a new production batch. After getting some quick responses on mail and ticket, I´d say Moza is quite nice with the customer service. Well, no complaint could advance the production time needed for the new batch.

A 5% discount is their standard discount that anyone can get by leaving stuff in the cart for a while, so it's not really compensation.

Yeah, their customer service is leaps and bounds ahead of TM so far in my experience.

After @Mr_sukebe's last post, I opened a ticket.  A day later, I've got an apology and a tracking number.  My account still says that it's processing, and the location of base is Hong Kong still, but it feels like progress.

It does appear that their internal comms aren’t the best.

All they need to do is replace the statement in the store of “we will dispatch within 10 business days” to “currently unavailable, we’ll notify you”.

Its just a point of management of expectations

I wasn’t blown away by it, but it’s still a millions times better than a spring loaded stick.  The DCS spit has a lot more fidelity where as IL2 felt a bit arcadey, but to be fair I didn’t spend much time on it.  Something I do remember is the trim didn’t feedback through the stick, which it does in DCS. I’m sure once they work out how to extract the telemetry then things will be much better.

Thanks @pierscockey strange the trim doesn’t affect the stick as the trim tabs change the angle of the elevator, unlike a 109/190 where the whole stabiliser angle is changed. Still, as you say still a whole lot better than a spring loaded stick and the software improves all the time.

Mine is still "processing", but at least a good sign, if they start to dispatch the pending orders.

BTW, has anyone experiences with a 20cm extension for the AB9 base? I´m thinking of ordering the curved 20cm extension from Virpil to put it on the AB9, but with the quite heavy Thrustmaster F/A-18 grip on top, it might be to much for the AB9 to work properly?

Probably best to ask in the Moza Discord.  I'm sure someone there will have experience with a similar setup.

Interestingly despite being given tracking by their support on Tuesday, I didn't receive an actual 'it's shipped' email until late last night.  It's still sitting in Hong Kong though.

@Biggus Thanks for the hint to have a look at Moza´s discord, didn´t thought of having a look there.

After exchanging some experience here about the ordering process, I feel more confident, that everything will be okay with the delivery.

I´m still thinking that the customer service doing their job to satisfy the customer demands, but can´t advance the production and delivery process in reality.

Sure, the delivery schedule on the webside is not in accordance with the reality, we´re facing at the moment, but that´s how it is. Things seem to be moving now.

Mine arrived too, must have been a batch, when I asked last week they expected one on 17th, so looks like we are in sync.

Ive been grinning for the last two hours. I actually feel the droop of the Spitfire control surfaces when theres no airflow.

Ive been rebinding everything all morning, which is painful, because I wanted to try every module out.

Too much to talk about. Too many settings. Too busy, bai!

I'm using a 20cm Virpil extension with a TMWH grip, works great.
