Even based on your example for an unspecified aircraft (odd that you wouldn't mention what aircraft this is for) the AB9 is way off the correct forces with any decent length of extension. If we go with a (rather short) 10cm extension then it's doing ~6kg versus the 16 in your graph. For a 20cm it's doing 4KG Vs 16.

Hornet needs about 19KG aft pull, M2000 needs a 40KG aft pull for max pitch input, just for example. None of the FFB sticks available are anywhere close to realistic forces.

With a 20cm extension (30cm stick including grip), the AB9 can't even provide enough force for a 2G pull in the hornet.

This doesn't mean that it's useless but don't pretend that it's generating realistic forces.

It's F-15.

With extension, the Moza AB9 FFB is rather weak. But still miles ahead of my VKB Gunfighter due to the additional feedback and adjustability in software so for that reason, i would still consider it an upgrade.

Bear in mind, with stronger FFB, it would also demand a similarly sturdy mounting solution.

Haven't really paid attention to roll angles, but no issues with alt hold at any wing sweep up to high subsonic speeds.  Once you get to about .9 the AFCS has a hard time maintaining stability.  Push past 1.2 and reengaging the alt hold is fine though.  The rocking backwards and forwards is the AFCS maintaining your altitude.  The stick should move a heck of a lot more during ACLS recoveries, but that doesn't seem to work very well unfortunately.

Perhaps a menu slider (apparently the F-4 Phantom has one) that adjusts the amount of moment in the stick you can have before the A/P Hold is overridden.

The AV-8B gun giving no feedback could be due to a bug from the module, because every other settings work. I am not sure as the DCRealistic does make the cockpit shakes when firing gun.

Yeah probably , couse i also get it working on every other aircraft but the Av-8B

I think I have agreed back then to demonstrate how AB9 reacts to helicopter operations, like gearing up, firing, landing, etc. I have made a small video showing some of them and clear backlog. I made some special arrangement in making this video, so that I don't have to show my hands and pants...

This is quite unacceptable for someone with your username. We are all waiting for the PJ Pants reveal.

But I guess you don't want to just show that off for free, and will monetize it on your OnlyPants account.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to check if you get any ab9 stick movement when playing back a track? Does it follow your initial stick movements?

I noticed in some of the review videos, the moza config software appears to have sliders for manually testing the movement / position of the stick via FFB, so I'm hopeful that it might work.

No, as you see in my video, the replay only reproduces the response from the base, not the human input which, as you can see, quite clingy.

BTW, which profile should be used for F-22A? I don't think it should be as stiff as the Viper.

Thank you.

In the moza joystick software, are there x y axis sliders that allow you to manually test the stick and move it to an absolute position based on the slider position? If so, is it repeatable? Similar to the offset sliders in this section of the video?

Even if DCS records the human input, it's not "replayed" during a track replay. Either ED must add this for the track replay or Moza must come up with a solution to take the stick position in the replay telemetry and pass it on to the stick. I highly doubt neither will be implemented any time soon.

For any current AB9 users who are just as useless as myself on staying abreast of Moza news, be aware that the AB9 can now pass through analogue axes data from the thumb stick and brake lever on the Virpil alpha.
I’ve no idea when it was introduced, but I’m certainly not complaining.
To enable it, just go into DCS and bind the axes.  I didn’t have to do anything else.

I have updated the Moza Software today. Now there is no Preset for the F-14 anymore.  Before the Update there was a preset and it worked just fine...

Could anyone with a working preset upload me the f-14 preset? Thanks in advance

/edit: nevermind, I found the function to go back to the older Version.

I only fool around the F-14 - and still having a hard time on it as there is so much to learn and so little time and talent. But I love it.

That's actually been in place for a number of weeks now.  I am still waiting for the Flanker grip to arrive to see how that fares.

That's what I was waiting for, now if only Virpil comes with news (but they are probably too busy with their yoke to get some FFB goodness out this year)

Winwing should come out with their base this year, but I have no expectations beyond that for this year.

But not compatible with TM/Virpil grips
