Bombs not hitting target.

Hello, so I am new to DCS and have just been practicing with dropping bombs, mainly the GBU 110 and 12. First I started in the F-16 and was able to hit my targets, however now I'm practicing in the F/A-18 and for some reason I can't seem to get the bombs to hit the target, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can release the weapon, but it never seems to find a target, even though I designated one through the HMD and have the TGP pointed at it. I will pot a short video to show you how I did it, to see if I did something wrong

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Your release looks way off for auto lase to be effective. It only had guidance for those last 8 seconds and it seems that wasn't enough to correct. Manual lase from release? Sure.

Thank you, that did cross my mind. Do you know what button it is to lase in the F/A-18? In the F-16 it was the trigger button first detent which I had bound to the trigger button on my joystick. However now I don't see that control in the control menu and when I try to manually lase it with my trigger button it doesn't work like it did in the F-16. Also, when you say my release looks off, how would I go about fixing it? Are you saying I need to adjust the release angle of the bomb?

Thanks

If you want to lase manually you have to press "TRIG" on the top right of the DDI to enable the trigger to fire the laser.

Thanks. I can turn this one before I release weapons, is that correct?

Edit: So I tried releasing the bombs from a much higher altitude at 20,00FT and manually lased the target immediately after release, but I still wasn't able to hit the target? I was exactly lined up with the vertical guideline but fairly close. Don't know why I could do it in the F-16 but struggle in the F/A-18

Yes. And as for the release, line up the velocity vector on the vertical, azimuth steering line (ASL)

Did you even turn on the laser on the right panel? You have to turn it back on after every bomb drop. The laser codes also have to be transferred to the bombs.

Thank you, what do I need to do to arm it?

In the stores page click on EFUZ to set the fuze for the bomb to what you selected in the rearming window and the orange triangle that appears there.

I have not fully confirmed it, but I suspect that CCIP/AUTO drops are off if your nav source is INS (default). Switch it to GPS on the HSI page and try again?

Also your drop was not very good, try to put your vector on the drop line to confirm that it's not the issue.

Thank you. This is ultimately what worked, and I was finally able to get the bombs to hit the target multiple times.
