reported Kuznetsov mazut smoke issue

I've noticed now when coming in for a landing on the Kuznetsov that there isn't black smoke bellowing from the smokestack. I always thought that thick black mazut smoke was a nice realistic touch. I made sure my chimney smoke meter was pushed up to the max and still no smoke -- and this is on both the original and updated Kuznetsov models.

1. I haven't seen any posts on this. Am I crazy or is this happening to other people?

2. If it is happening to other people, why did DCS remove the smoke?

Are you running single threaded or multi threaded DCS version?

I never thought about that being the issue. I previously ran single threaded but lately I've been running multi-threaded. Is that the culprit??

There are a lot of reports regarding various graphical issues in the ST version, or new graphical features only released for MT. This seems not to be valid in your case if you run MT, while it might be worth checking if it works in ST, for the devs to easier find the error.

FYI, same thing with the LHA Tarawa smoke missing in MT...since MT was introduced.

Just tested latest 2.9.6 MT: Kuznetsov, Kuznetsov 2017, Tarawa - all have white smoke.

I can confirm!  I guess I never tried them since the update.  That is an improvement over NO SMOKE.  Thanks.

ST has the smoke colour correct.

Great thank you. I tested it a while back and there was white smoke in ST and no smoke in MT, then like a week later there was white smoke in MT too. must have been an update. I'm sure it will be black soon!
